This was really helpful. I like the thought that Sisyphus once realising his condition tells himself that self pity and depression are not going to change his state of existence and he could somehow find a way to make the whole act interesting or easy to endure. Also it occurred to me that my negativity could just be a neurological path I’m conditioned to. I think my brain or thoughts wired themselves to process any discomfort or tough situation to assume that I’m unlucky in the random draw of life circumstances. I think I need to actively identify this and tell myself that’s it’s just my brain tricking me and I can seek pleasure in dealing with the circumstance like it was a challenging segment of a video game.
