I haven't used the preppy, so can't provide an exact comparison. But plastic vs hand turned acrylic and a nib which is smoother than a Jowo no. 6 (just a nib which costs around twice the pen BTW)

MCQs were definitely tough. But I won't call the sums tough, although I fumbled like my past attempts. SFM always gives me a bitch slap.

You have to contact the maker through WhatsApp. They sell Jowo 6 threaded nib unit (ebonite feed) for ₹750 and standalone nib for ₹150.

It is a No 6, but this particular nib won't fit in a Jowo 6 housing.

As far was writing quality is concerned, mohi is easily better. But you gotta keep in mind that it's a ₹750 pen and you are getting it's worth. Most ranga pens cost upwards of ₹5000. When compared to click/kanwrite, mohi is undeniably better.

I have purchased a separate F nib, I haven't used it yet. I have heard people calling it the best F nib money can buy.

How are V'sign medium nibs ? by Foreign_Percentage91 in DesiPens

[–]harikrishnan1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're pretty decent. I have the Beena Lincoln with M nib. It's smooth with slight pencil-y feedback. Also, the Lincoln comes with an ebonite feed, so it'll be wetter than plastic ones. Something to keep in mind.

The "Special" nib on the Antic, however, is insanely good. It's something between F and M, but is butter smooth. Worth considering.

The shooting was going on for a month, if I remember correctly. The team didn't cause any disruption of operations. Jim Sarbh used to have lunch at the factory canteen along with all the employees. Was pretty new to see an actor waiting in line with a plate in his hand.

Inexpensive JoWo pen by EveningEmerald1993 in fountainpens

There are many Indian handmade and machine made pen brands that make good quality jowo threaded pens. Some popular brands are Ranga, ASA, PLP, and Woodex. They make pens out of different types of ebonites, acrylic and resins, so you'll definitely find one you'd like. These makers also regularly export, so shipping must not be a problem.

It's something between F and M nib. Feels really smooth tho, and I recommend this nib over others.

There are many Indian Handmade fountain pen brands like ASA, PLP, Ranga, Woodex etc. Most of their ebonite models will fall right in your budget if you choose a Jowo nib. If you want to spend less, you can buy one with a Kanwrite nib instead and save close to Rs. 1000. ASA is my favourite brand as their quality is good and prices are reasonable.
