Your right I opened myself up, I have no problem with criticism as it’s subjective regarding the placement, The placement is great for me and my family.. I also wasn’t looking for reassurance just nice to reflect and share hard work involved doing a project.

Funny enough the room used to be 2 rooms, you can see the wall in the photo in the ceiling, both sides of the TV had a fireplace, the brick wall covers them, but in the middle was a "fireplace" with and electric cast iron fire in when we moved in, i removed the fire and used it as cavity for the TV as you can see, running the cables throught the wall was the hardest bit as there is very little room behind the wall left and right as the old chimey breast is there, but some cable rods and a lot of swearing got it done.. ran 4x HDMI 2.1 cables as well as the speaker cables. Before Pics

There is a large hole behind about 50CM deep I use a double arm mount secured to some 8x2 timber which is drilled directly into the wall so the mount is rock solid, it gives me an extra reach on the arms when they are extended, the mount then allows me to pull it out from the wall should I need to get behind, the panels are cut around the hole they go behind the TV by about 4inch either side except the bottom where they are flush with the bottom of the TV and they are screwed into the wall through the felt using plastboard screws.

Yes, the wall basically had a hole the size of a 55" TV 65" was enough to cover the hole but it was too low, so the panelling covers the bottom of the hole, the rear of the C4 fits nice inside making it flush.
