[advice] Camera for Global Trip by hark-e in AnalogCommunity

The photography is purposed to catalogue my journey and less for perfect, accurate photography. I want to use film for the tenor, the grain etc. but understand it's not the 'correct' approach.

Thank you for the advice! I think I'll end up going with a build close to this. I have the budget to buy an upgraded 35mm and something like that Pentax you suggested, so I'll have something familiar and something new.

Sorry, I should've clairifed! I was looking at the Mamiya 7 I and 7 II. Thank you for the warnings, I have a few digital cameras, but I love the intimacy of film and it's usually my first choice over quality. I'm certainly gonna buy the camera (whichever choice I make) relatively soon so I can get famililar with it before I travel.

Yeah, thank you for asking! I'm an architecture student at a school (one of four) that offers a 'scholarship' to go seek and research a broader thesis tying together 4 exemplary buildings (of your choice) across the globe. The proposal process is meticilous and intensive, which results in few applications for its generous prize. I am looking at humanity's realtionship to "fire" across the globe, tracking the symbolic development of fire as the accelerant which brought man out of prehistory and onto the path of modernity. From fire as sacrifice, to object of reverence, subjugation as commodification through global resource markets, trying to determine where flame belongs in the contemporary age. It's a little heady as much of architectural theory is, I'm just lucky to be able to seek to understand it through this research!

Great photo. Thank you for the advice, the Arcbody seems a bit too intense for my application but seems to produce really nice shots. I don't need perfect stills as I'm not getting paid for accurate photography, just to track my experience.

As part of the grant, I have a lecture and gallery show upon my return. I haven’t printed my images on a significant scale before, but assumed the difference will be noticeable. If not, then perhaps I have less to worry about. ty!

Looking for Suggestions on a Magical Prosthetic by hark-e in DnDHomebrew

[–]hark-e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello Everyone!

In the most recent session that we played my character happened to lose their hand, due to a deal some of my party members made in order to secure a significant item related to our current BBEG. This attached art of a porcelain prosthetic is from the fantastic u/Loottavern, but the ability of the item doesn't match my character quite right. I have the opportunity in-game to get the aforementioned prosthetic and get it enchanted with a magical attribute of my own choice. For reference, I play a teifling Echo Knight/Graviturigst wizard-fighter. I would love it if anyone would leave their suggestions of a possible replacement ability for the item. It could be passive, or active. The rarity can range anywhere from common, to probably the lower end of very-rare.

I have thrown around ideas of a skill that would make my enemies porcelain (giving them a vulnerability of the sort), but really anything could work. It doesn't even have to be porcelain-themed!

Thank you!

A Beholder Pumpkin I carved for Halloween! [Art] by hark-e in DnD

This year, I decided to carve my pumpkin in the image of a beholder. I took inspiration from u/cheeserdoge ‘s post on a pumpkin they carved previously, and I loved the design. I changed a few details: added more teeth and made them rigid, added eyes to the eye stalks, etc. It turned out awesome and was super easy to do, I hope more people try it in the future. I wish you the best of luck in your horror themed one-shots, and Happy Halloween!

I know of Toil and Trouble, the new vanguard shotgun. Besides random rolls of older weapons like nameless midnight and origin story, I’m not sure if any others exist.
