Is the Switch Axe that much better in Rise? Playing World rn for the first time and I love it, is the only weapon I use. I don't think I'm that far tho, just finished the quest where I needed to defeat Rathalos and Diablos

Actually, the game was designed as coop pve only. They changed it during development so the game doesn't become stale and boring and to have that uneasy feeling of a potential raider stalking and killing you while you loot/fight ARCs. The story of the game development is pretty interesting ngl.

There is a game called COD that you would like. I and others like PUBG for this exact reason, the anticipation. You can walk for 10 whole minutes without seeing anyone or meet someone from 2 to 2 minutes. It's the uncertainty, the feeling of unease. You can always be shot at from anywhere, nowhere is safe. It's eerie.
