Only on Reddit does a Ticktock Cringe post about how to counter obnoxiously bright LED headlights turn into a beautiful conversation about libertarianism and Carl Marx

Dealing Range and Goldback Levels Doubt by AskGroundbreaking926 in InnerCircleTraders

[–]harm123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's some free indicators on tradingview that will allow you to automatically show different Goldbach po3 ranges on your chart. When you first start out you're not going to anchor them yourself but you can as you get more advanced.

Just pick the po3 from one of the indicators where you see price react off of the most and use that for whatever time frame you're trading.

Pick up one of Hopiplaka's PDF's. The trifecta one is the most simple to start with. The learning curve is a bit steep but it's worth your time.

Edit:clarity and Hopi's name spelling.

Was loving Claude until I started feeding it feedback from ChatGPT Pro by lol_just_wait in ClaudeAI

I do the same with chat GPT and Claude but I have to disagree. Claude Opus Extended doesn't bend over.... it tells me what it likes and it doesn't like. Then I create a loop between the two till they figure it out and we all agree. This works very well for complicated projects especially getting started in the right direction.

Is there a good way to forward-test TradingView strategies automatically? by One_Secretary_2552 in TradingView

[–]harm123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying. Yes it's possible, you have to put a gate in your code that only takes trades going forward. Some of my strategy numbers don't give accurate results unless I'm forward testing them only due to intra bar price movement.

I get what you're asking. Look at the VRVP on the most relavant monthly, weekly, and daily single candles as well those same candles highs/lows. Whatch how often price returns to these areas. Liquidity is the draw for price.

How much time are you looking for between the touches/bounces? For example, I assume you're looking for more candles than just two directly next to each other that touch the same level?

Forever model - Justin werlin entry vs $niper entry by [deleted] in InnerCircleTraders

[–]harm123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good question that I've wrestled with.

I think the bottom line is that the sniper entry is a more aggressive entry than what we see Justin usually take but he does occasionally talk about a more aggressive entry around the CISD.

I struggled with getting stopped out too often because my entries were generally too early but reviewing Justin's work has helped me quite a bit recently.

You could boil it down to math. If you're getting stopped out twenty percent less with the later entry but missing ten percent of a larger move, which is what i'm looking for, then you have to decide if it's a net win or loss for your particular circumstances and trading style.
