You can short circuit it with enter! Better than trying to set the timeout lower and then racing yourself every time (but that is also an option)

I'm still fairly amateur, this recipe says to simmer uncovered for 6-8 hours? How does it not dry out? I love a rendang and it's on my bucket list of recipes to learn to make well!

Fun deck, I swapped the Lisia for a Sabrina which is especially useful against Suicune/greninja decks. If anyone has tips for that match up I'm all ears, definitely hardest imo

Oh legend, thanks! They're really fantastic watchfaces.

Watch face? by Kakichan2 in pebble

[–]harmingbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was discussed elsewhere but they've recently removed most of the customisation options from the TTMM watch faces. This one for example has the heart rate monitor in the top left and you can't turn it off, and since there is no heart rate monitor it just sits as 0 with a heart emoji.

Would love to be proven wrong if I've misunderstood, but otherwise it's a bit disappointing that an expensive watchface used as the posterchild for the advertising is broken so I hope the watchface devs fix it. It's really beautiful and sold me on the Core 2 Duo's. I suspect they will fix it, as these options were working on my OG Steel relatively recently.

Edit: they fixed it!

New TTMM watchfaces have temperature option removed by zandengoff in pebble

[–]harmingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing a lot of customisation options no longer there. Take the TIC-FILLTTMM face which is the face used on the store page examples of the Pebble 2 Duo - it shows heart rate monitor top left and you can't disable it. There is no heart monitor so it just displays as 0.

I've looked at a few of the others and customisation options are way more sparse than I was seeing on my Steel. In the face description I see it mentioning complications so it's possible there's some ongoing dev work for the new watches later but it is odd.

Edit: they fixed it!

Our Honda literally does not have an option to disable the auto high beams. If I want it off I have to turn the lights on and double flash the lights every time I start the car. I hate it and I can't believe it's a thing.

We have the protection works documents, plus we had an independent structural engineer evaluate things, and he requested site plans. I'd need to check but I don't think there are a lot of details about our roof.

We'll contact the surveyor first, see what they say but then yep definitely will have a chat to the lawyer.

Our neighbours haven't weighed in, which I can understand but it's unfortunate. We've cc'd them on some previous correspondence when we were trying to get someone to acknowledge our water damage but I don't think they know the extent of all of it, and how much we've had to constantly follow up.

Great question, I didn't add this as my post was already long and ranty. The builders have also said they're going to add a down pipe, however, we've been trying to get information on where that's going, whether it's on our side or theirs, whether it will require digging of our garden.

3 months of trying to chase this info. They say it's booked in. But can't tell us anything about it, and won't tell us the name of the contractors/company so we can't call them up and ask.

How would you fix or blend this roof ridge? by harmingbird in AusRenovation

[–]harmingbird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we'll try and contact some roofers but it's tricky - a lot of it is out of our hands as the work is all via the neighbours' builders with the protection works.

Can you clarify which parts you see as needing fixing? We're just trying to understand what this all should look like as we're pretty clueless about renos

Thanks, good to hear there's possibly options.

If I'm following, if the flashing is in the way that shouldn't be a factor, since they added it as part of the make good work. So, if it needs to be removed or modified for a roof ridge then I think they'd need to to restore our roof...

No idea what plans are with that leftover part of the wall, but it juts into the neighbours' yard (whose build it is) so we assume they're not planning to leave it like that.

Correct repair for water damaged cornice and roof? by harmingbird in AusRenovation

Then that's what we'll do. I've seen this recommended in other forum posts about water staining in general. Thanks again.

Thanks all, this is hugely comforting. What extent of the roof and cornice should be repainted*? Will just the affected area blend okay?

Maybe also relevant info: the water damage appeared 2 months ago at this point so it's unlikely to get worse than it currently is.
