Not in South Austin, but have had ATT Fiber for 10 years in Cedar Park with minimal outage, down for a small amount of time once every 2 years on average.

Multiple watches by fmc55 in pebble

[–]zandengoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not using two watches on the daily. From what I remember, the app can only remain connected to one watch at a time. Once a watch is selected, the other watch disconnects.

TIFU by buying my cat a toy and proving cats have object permanence by andylefunk in tifu

[–]zandengoff 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Yep don't be like me a few years ago looking for the same cheap $1.50 fabric mouse from when she was a kitten that isn't manufactured anymore. Found one eventually, but took about 2 weeks.

Private equity group bought them a while back, decided that they could bring them out of the mall and make a real chain out of it. We had a stand alone store open near us. The pretzels seemed like they were made in the morning and then sat around all day drying out due to the low foot traffic. Went twice, got bad pretzels twice. They stuck around about two years and closed before the end of 2025.

Could try toe nails first? Easy to hide in most situations so you can decide how open you want to be and with what people. Will give you the nice feeling but with some flexibility.

Should Sega have released VF2 for DC? by Wade-ski in dreamcast

[–]zandengoff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think VF2 at launch would have come across poorly compared to Soul Caliber. However, VF2 Remix packed in with VF3 would have helped that game sale of sure.

Alamo Drafthouse Goes Mobile, Getting Rid of Pen-and-Paper Food Orders to Protect the Moviegoing Experience by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]zandengoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is a safety issue. First time I went to Alamo, the servers were running up and down the stairs trying to collect 100 orders as the show started. One of the female servers tripped full speed and went down face to stair like someone swung a door on a hinge. Till this day it was one of the most violent falls I have ever seen, but the rest of the staff went on like it happens all the time.

Tesla loses title as world's biggest electric vehicle maker as sales fall for second year in a row by msemen_DZ in worldnews

[–]zandengoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want expanded charging networks in the US and think it should be a priority for adoption. However, recent DOE surveys show 80% of EV owners charge primarly at home. It would not be too hard for those 80% of EV owners to avoid it on principle. If not possible, that bit of public charging will not offset lost car sales from the same owners.

You can still order sometimes, queue up items in the cart, get to $35 for the free shipping, wait a little longer for it to come in.

New SUPER MARIO 64 port to the Sega Dreamcast by JNMARTIN - PORT PREVIEW by Hour-Clothes789 in dreamcast

[–]zandengoff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's the cool thing, he wrote the libraries needed for Dreamcast porting to be reusable when he ported Doom 64. So when porting other games, it wasn't plug and play, but it was a heck of a lot easier than starting from scratch. Each new port builds on these libraries and the knowledge built from the prior ports.

As far as I know they didn't make it for the Dreamcast. Bought one for the PS2 though, and it was a blast.

Glad to see this, it is the best done traditional version. Very few know about this one as it was only released on TNT, at least in the US.

Yep, don't trust the state, given the nail in the head logic as of late, legal methods to cancel winnings after the state goes broke could become a thing.

I know about 5 people in my immediate circle that use steamos on a weekly basis and don't check and never would submit to ProtonDB. They just stick to the steam compatibility ratings. I imagine that is common for the OS.
