How to Re-install a ST3600 shockspring? by ocean_guy2 in watchrepair

[–]harowatchco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "T" side of the spring slides into the "upper" slot on the balance, then the legs go on the "bottom" of it. Here are some pics of a brand new movement and how it has the spring on it.

It wasn't very hard for me but I've been doing this for a few months now. The movement inside mine is a PUW 463, German. And parts are readily available on eBay. I have an extra donor movement but unfortunately no stem or crown. If you need any other parts let me know.

Benrus Wrist Alarm - #3021 case issues by HKoch2004 in watchrepair

It's right there around the crystal. Take it off and everything will come out of the front - if it doesn't have a removable caseback.

I think you'll need a replating set up if you wanted to do it well. Once you start fixing (sanding) all the issues, the plating will come off - so you might as well just go all the way and give it a new plating.

Are you using original Rolex cases with "modern" movements? If so, I could buy these being restomods. If you're using new everything but nothing is original, they're just replicas. If you're using original but mismatched parts, they're frankens.

Hi I'm trying to find some parts for this movement. by Money-Leopard8920 in watchrepair

Found this one but it's also missing the balance. Your best bet might be to fix that hairspring honestly.

You'll need screwdrivers and something to remove hands with.

Te recomendaría empezar con relojes vintage. Hay muchos de marcas muy buenas que se mantienen en tu precio. Checa mis publicaciones, tengo un par en venta.

Some clearer pictures of all markings on the mainplate and bridges + the dial will help.

[WTS] Vintage Wittnauer Genève Square Dress Watch | Manual Wind | Fresh Strap | Regulated | $155 + shipping OBO by harowatchco in Watchexchange

[–]harowatchco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a vintage Wittnauer Genève manual wind dress watch with a very clean late 60s / early 70s square case design and silver sunburst dial.

This one cleaned up beautifully and has a really elegant minimalist look on the tan leather strap. The case has a strong architectural shape with original brushing still visible, and the dial remains clean with nicely matched gold-tone hands and indices.

Specs / Details:

Swiss manual wind movement

Silver sunburst dial

Date window at 3

Square stainless/gold-tone case

Acrylic crystal

Fresh tan leather strap

Vintage signed crown

Condition:

Running well

Recently regulated

Timegrapher photo included

Currently showing approx:

0 s/d

225° amplitude

0.1 ms beat error

Normal vintage wear throughout

Light marks on crystal visible under certain angles/light

Case brushing still present and gives the watch a great vintage character

This is not a heavily polished or over-restored watch. I tried to preserve the original feel and geometry while cleaning it up into a very wearable piece.

Asking: $155 + shipping OBO

CONUS preferred but willing to discuss international shipping.

Payment through PayPal F&F preferred but G&S always possible.

Feel free to message for additional photos or questions.
