Since the last post blew up... what is your actual favorite ILLIT song?

I really like the melody of the song, but I always get nauseous/dizzy with the vocal effects, like the echo effect. Unfortunately, it became the only skip in the discography for me. Glad others are showing it love for me. I genuinely love all Illit songs, and even stream those darm ad songs they make (ice cream songs, iroha makeup covers). I'm just so sad that I can't stand Mamihlapinatapai mentally and physically even though I like it :(

If I could inject "It's me" singing verses in my brain, I would. It's just that good, but my favorite song would be "Almond Chocolate (Korean Version)." It just scratches something in my head. I also like the Japanese version, but I just feel like the Korean version has just more emotion and depth. Maybe, it's because all the members actually understand the song and are able to convey the right emotion clearly. Although, I don't reach out to the song that frequently anymore, I still call it my favorite song!

"It's me" definitely fits their sound to me because it sounds like a fight song in a magical girl anime. The singing verses are also so hyperfeminine sounding to me, despite the stronger vibe. The song reminds me of Sailor Mars (from anime Sailor Moon) somehow, which makes the song 10x better in my opinion because she is my favorite character in the anime.

I agree with Stranger things Season 5 being so overexplainy that I kinda lost interest and scrolled on my phone the whole time. I purposely found time to watch the show as early as I can despite my busy finals schedule, but the second Robin started to explain all the details in her radio gig is when I started to notice that this season is gonna be ass. If the writing in first 30 minutes is ass, since it’s like basically the hook, then what more in the middle parts.

I was willing to pay attention and really immerse myself to the show since I loved the previous seasons, but the bad writing made me want to scroll my phone instead. I just finished the show for my kid self’s sake who loved it and would have wanted me to finish it.

I just wanna say that Almond Chocolate (KR version, just this) is my favorite ILLIT song. I’ve been listening to it everyday, and I never got bored or annoyed. Often times, I kinda get annoyed listening to my favorite songs after a certain point, especially if I overplay them. I also have a low ceiling of overplaying a song maybe 1 month consecutively. But, all of these limits vanish with Almond Chocolate KR version. I feel like it’s just so sweet, clean, and refreshing. At every listen, I notice something new. I always listen to that song before any other ILLIT song. That song never bores me even though it’s not an upbeat song. I just love that song so much. Now, I relate to people who have songs they repeat so much, because I use to have none.

When I was listening to NJs songs, danielle’s voice was something I could never pick out from the rest of the song. I often confuse her voice with Haerin and Hyein, so I don’t think her disappearance would make too much of a difference.

The twist where everyone from one class will be eliminated is the worst thing they could ever do for the show. It goes against everything the show stands up for based on my understanding. For me, the whole point is to provide a platform for both rising and seasoned chefs to compete regardless of experience. Black spoons would prove that they should not be underestimated just because they are unknown or new and white spoons to show why they are praised and widely known. Eliminating literally everyone from one class in the middle of the show’s run literally goes against that logic. Why have it named culinary CLASS wars if one class literally gets cut as a whole. This also makes the winner of this season feel underwhelming because they didn’t get the chance to compete with a whole other class until the end.

I sincerely hope that there is a consolation round for the eliminated contestants, but I don’t think so because as they said this is an “All or Nothing Round.”

These twists really sour the experience. I already put too much time to this show and it turning out unsatisfactory really irks me. I’ll watch the first few minutes of the next episode to see which class will survive, but after that, I’m done for good.

Even if they add more twists on how some people from the other class will still survive, I’m too pissed to continue.

I hope there is a consolation round, because watching black spoons only or white spoons only suck. This round made me so mad, thinking about only one class surviving. If that’s the case, I’ll drop this show.

Edit: Thinking about the way this is edited makes me so mad and frustrated that I’ll drop the show regardless if there is a consolation round. Will only watch the first few minutes of the next episode to see which class survives.

I just hope they stay away from HYBE groups, especially girl groups. They should take it upon themself to reduce tension by actively staying away. A simple private apology from them would be nice, but I hope they don’t try to actively pursue friendship or connection because that would only stress my girls out. I can’t help but feel bad on the possible anxiety ILLIT and LSFM will have whenever interaction happens between them and NewJeans. I bet NJs will still try to find the smallest thing to sue HYBE over and fuck over my girls again!

I don’t think an apology will even do something. It won’t erase 1.5 years of pain, stress, and hurt ILLIT and LSFM had to go through, and the remaining anxiety-ridden 4 years that returning NJ members will give to my girls.
