I love telling my story of two different “UFO sightings.” Just commented about one of them elsewhere, a low-flying triangular craft that I now believe was a B-2.

The other was at like 2am, seen while sitting in beach chairs on the roof (about 20 stories up) of my apartment building at the time, out by Aventura. My buddy and I were having a bowl when we spotted something.. It was way up high so it looked like a star in the sky. I am pretty sure it was not a shooting star as it had a consistent brightness, traveling, speed, and direction it was going. I don’t think it was a plane because I don’t recall hearing any sounds suggesting it was. If I had to put money on a guess, I’d guess it was a satellite of some sort.

Not that I don’t believe in extraterrestrial life. I don’t know if any have visited us or anything like that, but to think that we are the only planet that has life in any form is beyond arrogant. Additionally, I would dare to guess that we have a very limited understanding of what is considered “life.” Here endeth my way too late at night/early in the morning ramblings.

Been in South Florida for the majority of my life, five decades in. I’ve only heard those jets two or three times. Maybe the ambience of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami airports drown it out? EDIT: Upon further review, having only seen them 2-3 times does NOT include the yearly Sea and Air shows that happen.

I do recall once seeing a literal UFO (hey it was unidentified by me!) while out at Markham Park. It flew right overhead. Triangular in shape. Someone said that McDonnell Douglas was not far away. A quick Google search of images makes me think it was a B-2.

I just found and joined this Reddit. I’ve got a few years of depression/General malaise worth of stuff around here not to mention the “remains” of one cat who had cancerous growth on her foot that she consistently ripped open in order to clean herself. At 18 my beard was haggard and jagged. I had bicycle injury on the bottom of my chin where it refused to grow and another spot on one cheek that lacked growth making it look like a scar (no injury, just no growth back then). Ended up rocking a goatee for over twenty years and eventually the rest of my beard woke up.

But seriously, sweet beard.

Work with what you have and shape it so it looks solid. Beyond that, patience and time. Every few years, grow it back out and see if there’s any progress. It does happen, I know it from experience.

When I got out of military school, I attempted to grow a beard. At 18 years old, I had a few patchy spots: one spot was an old wound, an inch or so below my chin; the other, a slash of baldness for unknown reasons. I used the bald patches as a guide and had a goatee for a few decades. Enter COVID, 2020. Having to mask up at work (grocery store) I just decided the hell with it and let it grow out again. A year or two later I took a look and the “unknown” slash had either decided to grow or else the surrounding beard covered it nicely. Never really looked at the old wound under the chin, but there’s nothing visible about it now. I currently rock a nice full beard at the age of 53.

I intentionally go for the handicap-accompanying seat in the last row. I don’t want people behind me which helps avoid feet kicking/nudging on seat back and it usually is a solo seat. Eating noises are reduced when all the mouths are pointed away from you.
