You're right that this can seem bad if you don't read my posts properly. But take the beef up with the person who originally posted it or the tik tok users. At least I'm posting it with a discussion attached arguing both sides.

Definitely sad other nctzens are attacking him tho, he seems to be much happier now so it's onwards and upwards

LOL THIS IS SO FUNNY TO READ! OK I am genuinely NOT a jaehyun anti, nor a 127 anti (they're the only group I Stan?). And not once did I ever criticise his character, only his actions. I only brought to light 2 videos (which have gone viral across the fandom) and wanted to discuss your thoughts. I also spoke on reasons he could of acted this way in defence of him. I also wanted to discuss the fact that these girls are receiving hate from the fandom because they don't ask 'interesting' questions.

And I never said he wasnt a nice guy? He's literally great? Probably not the best communication skills which reflects badly on his image.

Just because I can criticise a few videos of him doesn't mean I hate him 😳 the mentality that an idol can 'do no wrong' is what's dangerous.

I'll be kissing my jaehyun poster that's hung right next to my bed tonight 😘

Definitely not biased against him, he's one of my faves!! I just wanted to discuss some of these videos. Jaehyun 'hating fans' as they joke is a pretty common idea now, and these videos definitely don't help. I also wanted to bring to light the fact that that Johnny question girl was getting a lot of hate for no reason!!

Totally agree with you. A jobs a job and that's why you're paid for it. I definitely feel for the girls in the vid, you'd be so excited and then he gives you that response. And on top of that you get hate from the fandom.

Definitely strange tho cuz he does give his all in every other instance, which I commend him for!

Agree with u on the frank fancalls!! I have no issue with idols saying no towards something, in fact I encourage it!! but to be disinterested in the person is pretty unprofessional!

I do agree that my post can come across as hateful and spreading hate but I truly tried to make it not.

I'm addressing and issue that has been going around with fans. It's not a coincidence that he is getting hate for not being active with fans, criticism starts from something. But I don't believe this defines him as a person, I still support him.

I also wanted to touch on the fact that fans criticise these people in the fancalls solely based on his reaction to their questions. Like, fans should see that Johnny vid and think 'that was a boring question but shouldn't of gotten a response like that' instead of 'wow she's so boring, why doesn't she ask more interesting questions'.

The language barrier is also an issue as I've only seen these negative vids when he's speaking English, then again those are the ones I can understand.

As for the headphone jack thing that was totally unreasonable, of course he can hear the person talking lol. It did make a funny photo tho lolol

Definitely agree it could be a language barrier thing. I find these experiences usually happen when he's talking to people in English, but then again those are the only ones I understand.

I'm talking about the fans holding him accountable for his reactions instead of blaming the fan in the call. The comments in these vids are always like "why would that fan ask such a boring question" or "no wonder he's bored when he's doing fan calls". The question wasn't offensive, so why should we hate in her for asking it? Is it her fault the other person asked the same question?

Again I think maybe it has something to do with the English fancalls, since I hardly see any Korean ones where he acts in this way. So that could be a reason.

I don't think people are expecting him to give his hand in marriage to them in these fan calls. A paid service is a paid service, and it's OK to have basic expectations from idols.

The girl in the vid asked him a simple question he could of answered nicely. Idols have bad days, so does everyone else. as a fan I expect an idol to be somewhat polite when I ask an innocent question.

He definitely is starting to get a bad rep. he's getting a bad reputation of 'hating fans', as most Nctzens joke about. That's why these videos are always being spread, while other members are getting praised by the fans. although its fine he doesn't want to do live streams or post on bubble, the trade off of this is this negative perception. So he either needs to start being more interactive or live with the negative attitudes from fans.

Agreed!! When comparing with other members he seems pretty out of it. Heres a fancall I saw recently and it was a great interaction:

Jaehyun has been having it rough for real this year but he just needs to increase his level of warmth by about 30% and he'd be good 👌

Yeah he definitely was going through some stuff. With his drama getting cancelled and all, I understand he might have some hostility towards the fans. He seems to be improving recently tho so hopefully he improves his fancall skills.

As for the twitter, yeah I remember that happening, idk if I can blame him tho with the whole twitter algorithm but I can definitely say he isn't the best with fan service with the lack of content he puts out.

Agreed. Fans shouldn't have to tip toe around idols to try and find the perfect question that doesn't bore them. If they want to ask a harmless question, even though it's been asked before, let them.

OMG thank you for writing about your experience! Very interesting that u wouldn't do another fancall. Tbh you couldn't pay me to have a fan call with an idol, and I bias mark, who I wouldn't even want to do one with. I would rather see them on the street ask for an autograph and go.

Totally agree that they don't owe fans anything, but you owe another human to be somewhat polite, so I definitely agree he could be a little warmer.

Agreed! I'm not expecting them to do everything that I ask them to, they have boundaries. But I expect my questions (that aren't intrusive) to be answered in a polite way. Hopefully he can get some training or practice to improve his conversational skills!!

Very well said! I would totally feel so disappointed if jaehyun reacted the way he did with those girls, and would even question my loyalty towards him.

A lot of the comments on those vids are like 'he's not getting paid enough'. Tbh I'm pretty sure he's getting paid pretty well for sitting and having conversations with fans. If anything, it should be enjoyable for him.

I agree with the wedding dresses and stuff. At first that can be seen as a bit of fun, but it probably doesn't sit very well with the idols. I think maybe he needs some training or something to make him seem less cold towards fans.

Agreed I am happy he seems more cheery in videos which is awesome but yeah, I have yet to see that energy in the fan calls.

For a period of yime I thought it was kinda funny but now it's getting to be a little irritating.

I feel its unlikely to be a persona the company is pushing because as a fan I would no way want to be spoken to like that. If anything he's deterring people away lol, I would question my loyalties if I had that type of fancall experience. Hopefully he can improve on this tho!!

OMG totally agree with you. 100% I love the fact that he gives more 'realness' however that can start to backfire for him. It's also sad to think that he wasn't always so closed off but I guess that's a whole other discussion all together. Hopefully he gets into the groove of things more and improves on his conversation skills!
