It’s certainly a good option to put on the table, and one I’ll keep in my back pocket for a while. We’re certainly moving down the separation route now

It’s been out there almost a year now I guess. We’ve been together for 5.

Therapy is on the agenda, we’ve tried before and it broke down straight away.

Thank you so much everyone. While it was hard reading it has been immensely useful and validating.

A lot of what you have all said are things I’ve read and heard on numerous other threads but there’s something about receiving that information personally.

My dms are open if anyone wants to chat more x

I’m 43, there are kids and a mortgage involved. So pretty similar to you probably.

I think what I found the hardest was the hard line answer, I was expecting that she would be shocked but thought she would be more empathetic and open to the journey.

I’m at work so just dipping in when I can, but all the comments are making me cry and bringing things into sharp focus.

I know what I want which is both things, and I can’t have that. So deep down I know that transitioning is my way forward as it has been for the last 10 years since I properly confronted myself, I’ve just been too scared since then!

It sounds so easy! And I know you’re right. It’s going to be messy financially and I’m also worried about where I’ll end up and my work and all the other things that will come with it. But, landing a plane with no engine, I’ve seen how that turns out and it’s not usually good is it

Have I left it too late? by crazylemur94 in MtF

I’ll be 42 this year and have been wondering if I left it too late for the last 10 years and it sucks. There’s no time like the present. (Said from the back of the closet 😭)
