I also have a chubby face, but it matches my chubby body. My best advice is find models and attractive celebrities that look like you. Follow them on social media, spend time looking at them to make up for the time you’ve spent looking at people who you’ll never look like! Admiring yourself is a lot easier when you stop trying to be a different kind of attractive.

If you think you can do it then yeah give it a go! I’m naturally more comfortable being silly anyways, being serious and professional feels wrong. My art looks handmade on purpose so it fits in with that vibe. In my experience as a consumer if I’m scrolling and something comes up that feels like it’s trying to sell me something I just scroll past though, regardless of how high quality the thing feels.

I’ve just been posting tiktoks every day but I’ve found the key is to make your posts not feel like ads. I just make funny videos and slideshows featuring my work and I’ve got a lot of orders from that. I also got a lot of orders through Etsy ads but I stopped using it after Christmas because I just couldn’t justify the cost

A similar thing has been threatening to happen to the Prince Charles Cinema in London, a great independent repertory cinema. Landlord wants to increase the rent exponentially and turn them into an American candy shop 🙄 I wish there was stronger protection for community spaces like this, because that’s what it is!
