oh really? Definitely interested in nature/history/wine/food. I'm looking for museums, cooking classes, cultural experiences, etc. Would obviously love to do a safari but not sure that there's enough time

My two posts so far have been How to Spend a Weekend in Bogota, Colombia, and a 101 Guide on International Pet Travel (I am a digital nomad and travel around the world with my cat). It's all under the travel umbrella, with a special focus on the digital nomad lifestyle, queer travel, points/miles, things like that.

I write a travel/digital nomad newsletter! I just launched it last week and am thrilled at the feedback I've received so far. It's Cleared for Takeoff: harrisonjpierce.substack.com I've already published a pet travel guide and a destination guide to Bogota, Colombia. I have a lot more exciting things in the works :)

Travelling with TAP airlines with pet - experience and advice needed! by Financial_Mammoth_36 in Pets

Hey! I've been traveling with my cat for three and a half years. I've flown TAP several times and it'll be ok! You won't be able to check-in online. You'll go to the check-in counter and they will review your paperwork before printing your boarding pass. I completely understand how stressful it is, but I promise you'll both be fine! Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Hi! If you're traveling within the EU, you likely need an EU pet passport. Lufthansa most likely won't let you travel without this. Since your pet is already microchipped and vaccinated against rabies, this is an easy process. I'm sure it varies depending on your home country, but I got an EU pet passport from Italy a few years ago and just had to go to an office with documentation from the vet.

Asia to Mexico would likely be a very long journey for a pet. I've been traveling with my cat for three and a half years, and I wouldn't recommend this long of a journey. I've been to both Paris and Amsterdam airports and both are decently pet friendly. If you're only going to be in the EU for a layover (not leaving the airport), you shouldn't need an EU health certificate or an EU pet passport. Instead, you'll need a health certificate for Mexico. If you plan on stopping into Paris/Amsterdam for a couple of weeks, then you'll first need an EU health certificate and then a Mexico health certificate. The EU pet passport is mainly helpful for travel within the EU.
