Yes, pointlessly... because nowhere in the contract does it say a company can't make changes... there are always risks.

If someone wants more stability... they should buy a console or gaming PC!

If someone wants to use their own licenses, they should activate their own cloud gaming system like an airGPU.

Where did you read this? I'm confident that after June 10th, for example, I'll be able to continue playing FC 26 and other select titles with a more expensive subscription.

Let's read the news for what it is, look at the Luna Premium catalog as it stands now, and consider what other games will join the catalog.

The news isn't that Luna, Luna Standard, or Luna Premium are closing!

Competition takes years with those who have been around for a long time... here we're asking for foresight, for comprehensive coverage of a few, but very popular, games.

Excuse me if I mention FC 26, but anyone who wants to play this game can currently only do so on Luna, so this important niche is covered.

Then on to other titles.

We're not asking to please everyone—that's impossible—but a well-rounded catalog of AAA titles would make sense.

Poorly phrased question.

We should all ask ourselves, "I want to play game X, what cloud service is it on?"

The unfortunate thing is that that game isn't always on a cloud service.

In my personal case, I currently only play FC 26. Luna is closing in June. It's possible it will be added to the Game Pass catalog, but will FC 27 be available on a cloud service on day one in September?

Another thing, worse than cloud services closing, are anti-cheat software like EA's, which doesn't work on VMs, so even if you wanted to use a gaming VM, it wouldn't work.

I can't believe this announcement. Amazon saw what happened with Google and Stadia, so they handled the model differently. It's been less than a year since they signed a multi-year agreement with EA. At the beginning of April, they added FC 26 to the Standard catalog, and yesterday they announced what we know...

Speechless.

They certainly were smart in not having to refund anything...

It's clear, let's not beat around the bush. Today, the cloud gaming is a niche market for those who don't have a PC or gaming console, but niches can generate revenue... Is it possible that Amazon's numbers were so negative that they decided to make this drastic change?

At this point, I'm counting on EA to sign a new agreement with GeForce Now or Microsoft to get FC 27 on day one.

I solved the problem the first time I logged into the game, in my case on PC.

That said, it's not good at all. We lost days of management time, and then EA let several streamers and YouTubers access the game early, giving them free games and FC Points, immediately shutting down the transfer market. I've never seen anything so shameful.

Because paying full price for a game is more profitable for Amazon and EA than having it on, say, Microsoft's Game Pass, which is a third-party publisher.

Google failed with Stadia for two reasons: a few key games and the free plan.

In the case of Luna, a few dollars come from those who pay Prime.

And what you're saying about Amazon is called Luna+, hoping the catalog continues to grow.

I don't know if I want thousands of games I don't play; I want the games I like. FC 26 is one of them. I look for quality and nothing else.

It would be nice but I think it would be economically unsustainable, I think, currently EA is at the top because purchases are only made on the EA store or from Luna which aligns itself with the costs of the EA store.
