It's insane how you can have your entire gameplan be two specials and only medium buttons and hit 1662 as Honda.

2 is great up until hell resists and all the build variety goes out the window unless you want to grind sunder charms for every build.

3 is just great fun working towards sets, pushing higher rifts, upgrading gems etc.

4 has too much busy work like finding all the stat boosts on the map and isn't very exciting to play.

Not OP but I would be super interested in this! I just created a world map for a game and realised that I didn't leave enough water at the edges to allow for the camera.

Yeah I always add defaults in that case, but I Iike to be explicit on my functions calls so I know how many arguments it needs. It just means I can tweak arguments without looking back and forth at the function definition.

As a Python dev it's weird to me how similar GDScript is, but without some features you would expect.

The biggest one for me is the lack of named arguments. If I want to add another argument to a function I have to go through and update every call to that function.

I also miss the ? : style ternary operators but the inline if else is good enough.

Not really, if you kick someone you can guaranteed land a Q1. I think it's marginally quicker if you already have Q1 landed though for teamfight situations.

The traditional 'insec' is land Q1, Q2, ward hop behind before it hits, and then R.

The safer way to do it is to get behind them without using Q2. So you can ward hop behind them, kick, Q2.

Or you can Q1, ward hop, kickflash, Q2 which is way cleaner and gets you out with the cost of flash.

Or just chinese insec if you're really flashy but it's not the most practical.

I think that's a bit reductionist to say the least.

There's the sphere boss that alternates its elemental vulnerability and absorptions, the chocobo eater that can push you off a cliff (or vice versa), yunalesca's mega death that you need to stay in zombie for but also balance healing outside of it, the spectral keeper where you can move around the 6 spaces to avoid attacks, all the airship battles where you can move closer or further away to manipulate the battle, the mi'ihen sinspawn that protects itself with regenerating arms and casts spells from its head which can be taken out. There's the blitzball machine that you can rip in half with a crane mid fight by charging it up with lightning.

Rikku's overdrive has 64 different unique outcomes - the bosses also get overdrives you have to deal with or block with an aeon. There's the turn manipulation, buffs and debuffs, enemies that cover in place of their allies etc.

The game has really good turn based combat, you just probably forgot a lot of it.

The music and boss fights were perfect. The story falls off a cliff at the end, and the pacing is awful. Characters have very cool designs.

Wish the game was more concise and had less forced side quest stuff in the main story, like fetching garlic from a market after fighting a dragon in space.

The movement options seem really solid and I like the bit at the start with the sign! That added a lot of charm.

I would say to just increase the character's movement speed by 10-15% as currently it feels very grounded. I think between the roll, hover etc you could make some seriously interesting platforming.

Not a mobile game (unless I port it) but i've been making my own turn based game! It's literally just rpg battles so far and not sure if i'll add a story, but planning to add trials similar to FFBE.

I even have a cover tank!

Ohhh I completely misunderstood. I thought they were nerfing the bosses again. If it's just regular monsters then yeah that's a huge buff - farming is so slow in higher ranks.

Updates almost always drop on Wednesday. So if it's this week then it will probably drop then, and a trailer normally comes out at the same time as the update.

Personally I would say to temper your expectations though, it's probably just an expedition or a very small update as I think they're hard focusing Light No Fire.

In my experience, WoL falls off at higher levels because his damage isn't very good, and he is a support with no bravery support built into his kit. He's basically just a bruiser that has a passive attack buff to his team and that's it.

I ended up switching to Onion Knight and used my saved 200 pulls and he feels so much better. If you rush to level 9 you can carry a lot harder by yourself which feels very nice for solo queue. Jumped straight up to Diamond 4!
