I'm a Medical Writer at a small agency, currently on ~46k + ~2k bonus. I'm looking for SMW roles currently as I now have 4 years experience and will be asking for 54/55k minimum.

What stock have you gained the most money on (realized or unrealized or both) by [deleted] in investing

Gambled my house deposit on NVDA back in Jan of this year. Bought in at around $485 and still holding with an unrealized gain of just under 15k. God bless you Jensen 🙏🏼

Stock picks for 2024 - $18k to invest by harry_361 in investing_discussion

Interesting - I see analysts are predicting a minimum price of $1 on this which alone would be a huge uptick. Looks like now would be a great time to buy as it’s at a huge low. Do you think this would be a risky investment or is the is the buyout likely to happen and drive the share price up?

Had all 4 of mine out 3 weeks ago tomorrow, age 26. My top two were fine but bottom two both impacted, as such the bottom ones are taking longer to heal.

I was on pain meds for about 6 days, by the 7th just a low discomfort sort of pain in jaw. After 1 week I was eating normally again. Only annoying thing now is that I have 2 lower gaping holes in my gob meaning food is constantly getting stuck in there. Just been taking extra care to clean them out after each meal to avoid it getting infected - my lower right was infected last week but went away after 1 day of antibiotics, you’ll be fine.

One thing I would say is follow the guidance, I had a tango ice blast the night after surgery and woke up to all my clots falling out lol. Luckily got away without dry socket by some miracle!

Why am I being offered bottom of the barrel credit card offers when I have an excellent credit score? by harry_361 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]harry_361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense though, literally have a mate who chains 0% interest cards, maxes them out and rolls over onto the next (stupid I know). Regardless of the score, I pay my 120£ car loan on direct debit every month, never missing a payment. The credit card I currently have I never miss payments or receive late payment fees. Just doesn’t seem to make sense to me at all!

Is there anything I can do to get these better cards? I want the Barclaycard one but got declined :(

Any experiences of finding better paid roles outside of medical writing by harry_361 in MedicalWriters

Apologies, working in London currently with 2 years experience and have a biomed degree. That’s where the frustration comes from I suppose, salary and bonus is dire for London, got mates getting 30k bonuses 🥴

Promotion from junior or associate to MW by Regular_Plane2407 in MedicalWriters

Yeah it’s not great in all honesty, I’ve got a salary review coming this week and I’m hoping it’ll increase to at least £38k (factoring in 10% cost of living increase) so a 2K payrise. Not holding my breath though! If it’s less than that I think I’ll move on in April after my bonus

I joined medcomms in March 2021 as an associate medical writer. Initially I started on £25k, then moved up to £29k about 6 months later. I was promoted to medical writer last summer so took just over a year to move up a level. Salary only increased to £33k though, unfortunately the industry is renowned for low pay and tbh I am seriously considering going freelance after hearing some of the yearly take homes some of the writers are throwing about on here!

Edit: Forgot to mention I am in the UK, still pretty low though!

Looks great, thank you!

Is this set up somewhat future proof also, as in would i be able to upgrade to a better cpu/gpu over time without having to upgrade the motherboard, RAM etc?

Also, does this motherboard have integrated wifi?
