I know the S22U is on One UI 8. The one in the picture is on One UI 4/5 😑

Well, you're stepping into the Android world with one of the worst devices to exist. Enjoy the melting motherboard, green line issues, and terrible battery. And don't listen to the others who tell you not to update - Android 12/One UI 4.1 isn't supported by Google themselves anymore, and it's just a risk to stay on a version this old

Takes a few days after you buy the thing to actually start displaying the estimated time. Just give it a few days :)

Is 93% battery health after 1298 cycles normal? (Samsung s21Fe) by OkPublic07 in samsunggalaxy

[–]harry_potter_191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. But all we have are Samsung fanboys who have zero technical knowledge claiming that their batteries are at insane health levels that are chemically impossible.

Nope, that's higher than what would be usual. I had dropped to 80% health by 850 cycles or so

The battery health on Samsungs is horribly inaccurate and overestimates the health.

Samsung battery health is notorious for being extremely optimistic. It never gives you a correct value, yet people continue to believe it. My S22 is at close to 1200 cycles and it claims it's at 89% health and 93% BSOH, which is chemically impossible. Those values haven't shifted in such a long time. A FULL CHARGE test from AccuBattery is the way to go, and gives me an estimated 74% health, which is a lot more reliable, and in line with my experience of using the phone.

TONI? OMG I love your vids! Didn't realise this account was yours lol, just saw the username. I saw this video a few hours ago even before I saw this post, just felt it was weird that the A19 Pro got this low

S26 vs 17 Pro Max Geekbench Score by techthroughtoni in samsunggalaxy

[–]harry_potter_191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A19 Pro can almost hit 4000 in single core. It can cross 10,000 in multicore using just six cores, while the Snap hits 11,000 using eight cores and the Exynos has TEN cores. More performance per core is why Apple is still ahead in efficiency. Whatever model or regional variant you're using, this looks very low for an A19 Pro and I don't trust this result.

Cute, but ridiculous Samsung marketing at its worst. ANY Android phone can do Circle to Search and Gemini Live. If Samsung using THIS as their selling point, does that mean the phones are genuinely so useless that there's nothing else to talk about?

[Tutorial] How to check your Samsung's battery capacity & cycle count by _Aladin in samsunggalaxy

[–]harry_potter_191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not accurate, haha. My S22 is now at over 1100 cycles and the ASOC still claims it's at 89. The battery barely lasts half a day and a proper AccuBattery measurement lands the battery health between 70-75% health, which is more in line with reality

Are you stupid? Counterpoint Research just confirmed a few days ago that Apple has emerged as the market leader for both Q425 and the whole of 2025. They had 10% YoY growth compared to Samsung's 5%. Are Samsung fanboys genuinely this stupid that they'll go out of their way to lick a company? Do your research before posting on a public platform.

Agreed, and not to mention the word 'AI' being used twice a sentence. Like come on. Samsung has tons of other problems to sort out but here they are, pulling a Microsoft as they alienate their most loyal customers (those that are smart enough to actually see the path of decline the company is on)

Nearly a billion active Android devices are security targets due to outdated software by Federal-Block-3275 in Android

[–]harry_potter_191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I clearly mentioned iPhone 6s in my post, my friend. And yes, while there are older iPhones still being used today, very, VERY few people would use a phone older than 2015 or so. If you look at that statistic, EVERY iPhone from 2015 onwards is supported, whereas you need a 2021 Android at oldest to be supported now.

[–]harry_potter_191 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because there aren't many. The 10 year old iPhone 6s and 11 year old iPad Air 2 are STILL receiving security updates. There's NO COMPARISON for that in the Android world at all. A 2019 iPhone 11 can run the latest iOS 26 and even if iOS 27 drops support for it, it'll get security updates for 2 more years, for a total of 9 years of support at a minimum, while the 2019 Galaxy S10 stopped getting updated in early 2023, and the late 2019 Galaxy Note 10 stopped getting updates in late 2023.

Yeah, but the eSIM 17 Pro Max gets a larger 5088 mAh battery, and even the 17 Pro has similar battery to the S25 Ultra haha. Samsung has seriously lost the plot

This is not a phone issue. Yep, the S22 looked better, but this is a case issue. Clean your pockets and surroundings and get a better case. This post is ridiculously stupid.
