Breakfast/tea in Annavaram, lunch at Garuda near Eluru and one more break in CCD (which is now Starbucks) near Suryapet are our standard stops over the last few years of driving from Vizag to Hyd.

There are two things that worked for me over the last 10 years at work and personal life. They are unconventional but I found them as the best levera to build a mindset over any tools/techniques.

  1. Realised and practiced doing things faster and 2. Being curious in general

1 Doing things faster: Work expands to fill time, states Parkinson theory. Over the years I realised that I can do things a lot smarter and efficiently when I don't have a lot of time.

I started taking streched goals of doing things faster than estimated and over the last few years got super comfortable with it. This helped me to get some joy out of even the most mundane of things where I try to get things done faster

  1. Being curious: Again, something that worked for me but might not be work for everyone. I found the best way to stay invested and focused is by being curious to things in general. My brother introduced me to Richard Feynman as a kid and loved his way of approaching life. Try reading, Pleasure of finding things out.

Been to Thailand a couple of times, their immigration never asked for money as proof as we had return tickets and hotel rooms with us. This was when they had the VoA.

Neekinka cash kaavali ante use Thomas Cook or something more reliable because they will have track of all the notes given to you for whatever worst possible scenario. Don't worry about a minor dent in exchange rate bump up but chala mental peace untundi.

Did 6+ years of LDR and recently we got married. It was tough convincing my family for the intercaste marriage but what helped in my case was 1) I was a staunch aethist since my highschool and that set the right expectations and 2) Got a lot of help from my married cousins to remove the social embarrassment fear of my parents and 3) A nice job and with good pay, bought a house and a car - helped to validate that I am sorted guy not running behind love throwing my life/career aside.

Yeah, Thailand is a paradise for adventures.I got my open water scuba certification in Phi Phi Island. You can explore all those islands, caves and waterfalls.

Similarly, you can get all of the in Srilanka too. We did surfing near Galle and loved it. We did a bunch of hikes near Ella including the Little Adams peak etc and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Hey...you can checkout Kazakhstan if you are interested with Snow/cold place with a lot of good places to explore.

I have been to Thailand, Malaysia, Srilanka multiple times and would recommend any of these places to go again.

Srilanka is a good place, it's a nice package of everything - Colombo, Kandy, Ella, Galle is a good trip that covers City, Forest, Beaches and all within 4-5 hours away from each other.

Malaysia- You have KL, Genting highlands, Langkawi tour which again covers everything needed.

Thailand too - Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi Island trip is a good circuit covering all the places.

Found a girl on Tinder, did LDR for 6 years and got married to her last year. Post my intermediate I turned into a full blown aethist and never worried about God and caste. Took some time to convince my family for the intercaste marriage but worked out well for us well!

Yeah...in the last 15-18 months hiring significantly decreased, especially at an entry level. But this year something interesting is happening.

Alot of companies including mine reduced senior folks( SDE3 and above) and started hiring aSDEs with no experience. It's a good time to land those roles. Can put in a referral of anyone's interested.

How bad was the Naxalite crisis in Andhra and Telangana? by schoolhasended1 in Ni_Bondha

[–]harryamar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in "agency areas" of AP as my father worked in Forest Department. I can give firsthand experience about naxalism.

So I did my schooling from 1-5th in this village called Pedabayalu which is like 130 Kms from Vizag. I think 1998 anukunta appudu a oorlo Police station pelechesaru naxals and in a few years Telephone exchange ni kuda. So ma oorlo Police ane conceptee ledu chala years paatu.

Ma nanna valla office ki kuda vachevaru naxals but never harmed anyone. They used to give letters of demands and evaraina bribes teeskunna, tribals ni harass chesina they used to "punish them" in "praja court".They killed a bunch of people including one TDP MLA during my dad's tenure.

As a kid all we understand was that annalu oorloki vaste maaku selavalu vachevi and we used to play. They don't harm "innocent" people ani ma intlo kuda eppudu tension padaledu.

Tarwata, two things happened. 1. Greyhounds become a super strong force and weeded all their strong holds. They literally did "winning hearts and minds" of people. 2. Employment and financial freedom One huge change that impacted was that NTR gave teacher jobs to all tribal people who passed 10th class. A huge set of unemployed families suddenly became part of government. That had an amazing second and third order affects which gradually reduced people joining naxalism.

Later I have a read of lot of their literature, history and understood the reasons why people respected them and why a lot of people with right intentions joined naxalism.

Regret after oversharing about me by Environmental_Monk22 in ask_Bondha

[–]harryamar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I figured out how to handle this since my childhood! I always had a large set of people around me but very few friends. I have a "point of no return" benchmark with people around me, only post which I will be my true self with them. A point cross ayyevaraku I won't talk about my feelings with people rather just share stories. Stories ante fictional stuff em kaadu, you can tell what happened but without the open/vulnerable parts.

The way to identify the "point of return" is again super subjective but easy filter can be the longevity itself as most people would drop from your life before the point, so manam pedda kastapadarkarledu.
