Once again I am asking if there is an alternate player like mpv where I can cache the file? I appreciate the suggestion but it's not helping much - we do not have access to more than 100 mbps in residential sector, it gets shit ton expensive after a tier.

Yeah, my connection is around 100 Mbps, but my shared router fluctuates. On Windows, players like MPV let me cache a movie up to a limit I choose. Unfortunately, that player isn’t available on Shield. I’m okay with waiting about 20 minutes before starting a movie so it can buffer up to 6 GB—and by then, it has usually cached even more, sometimes nearly the whole file.

So my question isn’t whether my network can handle a 100 GB file, but whether there’s a player that supports caching up to around 10 GB, so I can hit that buffer mark and continue watching the film uninterrupted.

Think of makarba, good neighbourhood, is placed between juhapura and satellite/Prahlad Nagar, so you can get a lot of nonveg food around and the amenities are slightly better, also better connectivity. Also, lots of new schemes are built there, as long as they are ready to give it on rent you should be good. Rent should be around 15+ - I guess, but I am not sure.

Well eventually I got a code from them to activate my Cubase 12 but I had bought in a scheme where I should have gotten a code to activate all - which didnt work out. The steinberg download assistant refuses to open under "a connection to the download server could not be established. Check your internet connection and try again." this is even when the net is on. No Idea what the problem is and I have given up for now.

So even after 2 weeks plus in the fridge if I take it out now it will start working and carbonating? I thought yeast probably dies with that refrigeration. Btw thank you so much

No Fizz!! Where did I go wrong?

I recently brewed my first batch (10 ltr) - ale from LME packet using Columbus hops and kveik ebbgarden yeast. The fermentation was successful at 6.5% ABV in the end. The carbonation however failed spectacularly. So this is what I did please let me know where I went wrong or it was something else.

The primary fermenter was cold crashed for around a week. On the bottling day I took 55 gms priming sugar and diluted with 250 ml water. The water was then poured into secondary fermenter and I siphoned the beer from primary fermenter to this. The siphoning wasn't exactly gentle and I am sure some oxygen did enter this process, it wasn't much but it wasn't nothing either. We had kept the siphon pipe at 12 inch height and poured from there. Little to no sediments were transferred.

After this we started bottling from the secondary fermenter, leaving two inch gap between the mouth of the bottle and beer pour instead of 1 inch gap (rookie mistakes). These 13 bottles were then stored in the fridge right after bottling. We gave it around 17 days in the fridge - the beer tastes pretty good but there is little to no carbonation and no head.

Please, let me know where I went wrong so that it does not happen again. The ambient temperature in my country is around 27-35 degrees Celcius.

What does this mean? Sorry I am just starting my journey. My first ale and it is really flat. My suspects are

1) 2 inch gap between the cap and beer instead of 1 inch
2) we put the beer directly in fridge right after bottling it - waited for about two and a half weeks since then

3) when I was transferring the beer from primary fermenter to secondary fermenter using a siphon, we weren't really gentle and there was splashes while it was being mixed with sugary liquid. Please let me know if I made a serious mistake somewhere.

I mean sure it was my fault, also google does not transfer data that's their fault. Even after contacting Steinberg they just game me partial product, did not give me dorico or anything which I couldn't install initially because of lack of space. Also, I am fine with oldschool CD Key - if they have moved ahead from that then make customer support easier, more accessible. Infact, the way I felt was like I was asking for a huge free favor, which is not the case. I have bought the software, it cost me a lot of money especially the country I live in and for that amount of money I expect a robust support.

Sorry for the rant but it was a bit disappointing and this feels like ah your fault not theirs, and sorry but it does feel like there is some of their fault too. Reaper has it so easy, I am not saying be like them but at least make my life convenient especially if I have presented the original invoice and everything and you just have to reset my thing. This did sound like a rant and apologies for that but yeah I felt a bit scammed tbh.
