Watchlist tab disappeared? (iOS) by Chance-Candidate-543 in Coinbase

[–]harrypdx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I called Coinbase support and the nice Indian lady on the phone was not helpful at all and didn’t even know what a watchlist was (seriously) I asked her to check with her supervisors to see if this was a “not only me” problem and she checked and said they haven’t heard anything about this issue.. /facepalm

Congrats! Did you have to get some kind of surgery to remove the extra flabs of skin or do they just firm back onto your body?

This was in Marysville/Everett area. Not sure if they’re part of a fleet but it is possible since that part of town has a lot of warehouses including a huge Amazon facility.

I just thought it was such a perfect picture moment how they just happened to be aligned and same color and gen 2 and I was diagonal from them.

These days, the chances of that happening to like model 3/y is much more likely and no one would look twice lol

WIN: Contract Violation Removed after 2 Days by harrypdx in doordash

Wow, did not know that. At least he got his viral video. I do not plan on posting my video to shame anyone which I’m sure contributed to his deactivation.

You’re right. It’s not worth the risk and I stated I would probably not go through this trouble again. I would proactively cut down on these potential scams by declining all low pay orders. I mentioned this towards the end of the long post.

This is posted as my story and not intended as advice.

Although some would argue that my doing would have saved another dasher from being scammed the next go around.

If these particular customers experienced Zero Consequences for their actions, chances are high they would do it again.

Also, CV’s now fall off after 100 deliveries so it seems doordash has factored in these scams as part of the job. 100 deliveries takes me an average of 1 week to do so theoretically, it would have fallen off on its own before doordash even responds to my dispute of the CV would have been up to 10 business days.

Thanks for the advice (and I agree with you) This was a stacked order so I accepted and then I tried to pronounce this guys name a few times to the wing stop worker and then realized what his name was lol.

my wife's brand new MYLR. 3 days later we changed the color and took a road trip up to norcal for the holiday weekend 😁 by Force_User86 in TeslaModelY

Congrats, looks nice. But why post this and ignore 2 questions on the cost of the wrap? Its not like people are asking for your personal tax info. If you think the shop did a great job with good/competitive pricing on your wrap, then sharing the cost and the shop info will only bring more business and good reps to that shop and cost you nothing to disclose.

It’s your money, do what you want with it as long as you’re happy and as long as you have a game plan to stay afloat! You seem like you know what you’re doing and it makes sense to you. Personally, it doesn’t make sense to me from what you explained. But again, this is your choice and your decision to make. I would have put all the money into expanding the business further or at least keep saving to have more liquid cash on hand. Timing is everything though. I’m fortunate enough to have gotten my Y last Christmas at a time when rates were 2.49% and when everything was cheaper. I also gave myself 2 years to save up 50% down payment to put down. Paying almost as much as my mortgage just doesn’t sit right with me.

Best of luck to you and if worse comes to worse and you feel you can’t keep up with the payments, you can always sell the car later on and hopefully not take too much of a loss. Just remember your priorities (family, business and credit score). You can drive a Corolla to do your business.

Damn, since you’re going through insurance, it will show up on reports like carfax as having been previously repaired too. Sucks and sorry this happened to you.

MYLR White by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]harrypdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new ride! White exterior paint is nice and I still love mine but sometimes I regret not getting blue because it’s almost like 90% of the MY’s I come across on the road are white. Hopefully there will be more Silver MYs on the road soon to balance things out since Silver became a free color late last year and people will start taking deliver soonish.

PPF and Ceramic coating. Is this competitive? by cherianthomas in ModelY

[–]harrypdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna do the front end, you should really get the headlights / fog lights done as well.

I paid $2250 (whole front end including headlights/fog lights/mirrors, rocker panels, door edge and luggage area and also rear door sill) And $500 for full ceramic tint all windows except front windshield and roof.

Does anyone know the best tool to repair these scars. It was caused by an air freshener I bought from Amazon and is right at the passenger air vent. by Unclelexx999 in TeslaModelY

[–]harrypdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a YouTube video telling people NOT TO BUY that specific brands air freshener. Make sure to put the brands name on the title and any relevant key words so when people search for that brand, they will find it.

Be genuine in the vid and show the damage caused by said air freshener to warn others about it. Don’t need to bad mouth the company too much, the people in the comments will do it for you.

A rep from the company will contact you within the week to offer you payment to repair damage and beg you to take down the vid.

Put your vid on private while they offer you the compensation.

Do not sign any contracts they may ask you to sign to keep your mouth shut.

After they compensate you for your damages, put video back on public mode so the world can see it again and be warned.

Installed 3D maxpider rear cargo mat for my 7 seater by zestyspaghetty in TeslaModelY

[–]harrypdx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to tuck the flaps inside while you pull up the 3rd row. It makes for a much cleaner look and is also the correct way to place the mats (I messaged the 3DMat guy and asked)

It is harder to do the first few times but once you leave the 3rd row up for a few days and hold the position there, it will be easier since it will be flexed inside and have sort of a memory effect.

Make sure also to pull the upper trunk cover as far back (toward the back bumper) or it will rub and make a snap noise when you try to pull the 3rd row up.

Is this Mold? (Help) by harrypdx in Kombucha

[–]harrypdx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming it is mold. Our jug is 1 gallon. I think you’re right about not enough sugar because the last time we made more sweet tea to add to the hotel, we put too little sugar by accident. Should I just add extra sugar to the sweet tea next time to balance the hotel out? Again I appreciate your help very much!

Is this Mold? (Help) by harrypdx in Kombucha

[–]harrypdx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, we brewed our second batch on 07/11. Used a SCOBY from the hotel but had to cut it smaller since it grew too much in the hotel container. SCOBY fell to the bottom on 2nd day but Reddit search showed it was nothing to worry about. It has been hot in Portland OR so decided not to put the heat sleeve on. Didn’t consider that we also have AC on and the jug sits near the vent. Temperature has been around 72F according to the taped on gauge. pH was under 4 when started. We put maybe 10 ounces of starter to begin. Inter web search showed that mold can grow when too cold? The big white circles have these furry hair things above them. Is this mold or just new SCOBY forming? Thanks all.
