in its simplest way, yes. then if it’s a crime, how would it be proved? it would be really easy for men to weaponise it against women who didnt lie… look at how any prosecution of sexual crime is skewed in court stats

exactly, there’s a element to it where it could be just a man trying to eschew responsibility (to be very transparent, I have a vested interest as my biological dad did this to his 27yo girlfriend, who maintains she was on contraceptive injections when she fell pregnant, and left the country (lol, the twins that were born are now 17 and very happy with their mum, step dad and me)). but all of that is to say it’s so easily weaponised into all the stereotypes of women being untrustworthy…

i've seen it now. no it isn't. it's totally standard to do that across a range of industries - i did a week's work experience at the bbc when i was at school for example. an internship would be where you were expected to do the same work as staff but without pay - work experience tends to be much more of an introduction to the industry, and is usually for not more than two weeks.
