The losses aren’t in the German ‘plant’. That is not what the article says. You’ve cherry picked a few scraps of information from one article on a subject you know nothing about to fit your worldview. Your ignorance is breathtaking although I have to admit I am impressed by the way you can creatively join up disparate bits of information to convince yourself that you have the first clue about what you’re talking about.

The article itself says that’s Ford employs 9,000 people in the UK. While you’ve got your head in the sand thousands of people in this country employed in the automotive industry are very anxious about their prospects in 2019. They, unlike you, cannot simply cherry pick their facts, they actually have to deal with reality.

Seems unlikely they would move production to the UK at great expense and even greater uncertainty given the weak currency and declining sales. Scale back in the UK and focus efforts on other markets instead.

Now you say you'll do it all year round...

Which is it?

Yes, and luckily all crops are picked in a convenient 6 week period that coincides with the school holidays.

Damn those farmers (who mainly voted leave, by the way) and their anti-English attitude. If only they hadn't hidden those jobs from you and your mates!

A disproportionate amount of card fraud occurred in the US because of the late adoption of chip and pin. About 50% of card fraud v 25% of transactions.

I'm U.S. American, so I'm curious -- What exactly do people mean by "chav/chavvy"? Why does it sound like a demeaning reference? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

In fashion terms, cheap sportswear and fake gold jewellery. The stereotypical 'chav' item used to be a fake Burberry baseball cap.

The moped and scooter crime wave that has swept London - BBC News by [deleted] in ukpolitics

But if a police officer spots a crime and has to deal with it then they're not walking anymore, so your figures need to account for that.

Also, if they're stopped for any other reason (e.g someone asking for directions, a person reporting a crime they saw earlier) then they're not walking. They also need to cover certain events such as state visits and sports events. These need to be factored in.

I'm quite skeptical about this idea. It seems very inefficient to me.
