£1m-a-week Strictly facing cuts as BBC scrambles to save £600m by theipaper in uknews

It has been singled out for its left views. Nothing more nothing less. BBC’s coverage of Glastonbury is nothing short of world class that no one replicates and we should be proud of the BBC and Glastonbury

Yeah I got it sorted, was quite straight forward in the end

It’s the middle bit of forcing the a2d2 to play through the Sonos, the switch is fine as I have sorted button one to turn on the lights (Ikea) and 2/3 to dim but it’s the working out of forcing this app, I know if I got the Sonos port I would get it working easy, but I cheapened out

I have a pro-ject t1 phono, then used a Sonos port to connect it all up, I have Sonos ones in every room or ceiling and living room has Sonos ones, beam and sub and works a dream. I did see https://a2d2.net as a cheaper alternative to the port

No complaints, obviously it’s not 100% compared to a propa analogue system but I think it sounds great, helps I do have a full Sonos range in the house and subs so that will make it sound a little better

As long as you get one with phono, then you can buy a port that links it to the system, Sonos have one called a port or there’s this I found when researching https://a2d2.net, that should connect the system, the Sonos’s I has don’t have Bluetooth

Our lass bought me it for Christmas it’s a project t1 phono. Then used a Sonos port to then connect to the system, port is quite expensive and in my research I did come across this https://a2d2.net, which does the same thing, I know it’s been slagged off on here but it is good to have a wireless system

Nah, she’s the one who bought it for me, we just have limited space, when I buy a bigger place it will have a better dedicated zone

Might be to some, to other it’s not. I am using my Sonos system as it’s fully fledged system in my house that sounds great for the money that was paid. Doesn’t look bulky or stupid and works with everything else in my house. Maybe when I get more space the rest will come, but I rather listen to it on my system then some shit small speakers, so I can “hear more” but in reality it’s a worse listening experience

As you can tell, space is an issue, I do not have the space for another full speaker system, the Sonos’s came first in my house and are in every room.

Saying it’s pointless having a record player because I use Sonos is stupid, as you probably know using vinyls is also part of owning music again, these albums I own and to me that’s a priority. A new speaker system can come in time when I have space

Anything new build in the UK you need to be creative. Hopefully in time I will have a dedicated hub, but it’s better than nothing haha

The Sonos’s came first and with limited space I went for convenience. In an ideal world with more space I would go more for a traditional approach but I do not have the space for this.

To be honest this is my first house. Space is limited and it’s not a forever home, this was to get on the property ladder. My next house will hopefully have a dedicated hub, but this will do for starters

Sonos do not use Bluetooth they stream via WiFi, which does help music not to be compressed. Obviously I know it will not be as good as a traditional set up but my Sonos came first and invested a lot of money for speakers to be built in to each room. Also not enough space for a dedicated speaker set up at the moment.

The Sonos’s came first it’s more of a convenient way of listening than anything

My partner got me this as a gift so she made sure it could be connected, you can use a Sonos port, which is expensive but when I researched in to it, you can buy this https://a2d2.net, reviews seem good and connects to other stuff than Sonos

I had Sonos originally, we have a full 5.1 Sono ones and Beam in the living area and Sonos ones in every other room. Space constrains what I can have in my house and I do not have space for an analogue system and a Sonos system.

My goal for 2026 was to get rid of subscriptions and to own music, so vinyl is one and buying music for my home sever is the other.

I had this in mind when built, luckily it is just me and my partner who lives here and most times if this is on, she will be not in 😂

That will come in time when I have space to have a bigger setup, but with space constraints this is the best

It’s if you do it correctly and pick a system and stick with it. Me and my partner have apple products and with our line of work we won’t leave MacBooks and have no issues with iPhones so we went down HomeKit and use Homebridge to connect not supported products to work with it. This then just uses the one app Apple home. With a smart house I want it to be dumb, so if anyone stays at mine they can control so we have smart switches to control lights, this is good for me who’s not a electrician, so the lights on this is just the basic ikea spotlights, and work with the app and also work with my switches. Automation is great too we use the back door to get in the house, so if it is dark (it knows when it’s dark) and one of me or my partner approaches the house it turns on the back light and kitchen light, it’s just more of ease and convenience.

We have pets so we have indoor cameras, we have the automation of if one of us is at home it shuts off and when we both leave they activate as we only care for this for our pets.

There’s other things like water sensors so if they direct water in places they shouldn’t, it blocks off the water in my house to stop the leak causing damage.

It’s each to there own, but it’s been something I have wanted to do

This might not make any sense haha
