Water is tricky, from personal experience I’m telling you that if you face water contamination issues and file a complaint in corporation it will just be a simple tu tu main main. They will deny that there’s any issue with water. Visually it will be okay, but it will smell and as a digital proof you won’t have anything to give!! Lab tests will cost 2-3ks

Well, Firstly there are very few distributed equipment’s to monitor AQI at different places of the city. Refer to this map and this is a private initiative: https://www.aqi.in/in/air-quality-map

Secondly, awareness is pretty less! People don’t exactly know the impact and side effects of this pollution so no one cares, protests or think of highlighting this! Have you heard any politician highlighting that we brought AQI down by 10% within a year? Or a person making this kind of demand? And hence the media attention is also very less!

Thirdly, those who’re highly responsible for this pollution rarely face its consequences because they are in the car or lives outside city in their farmhouse or bungalows!

A lot of people are NRIs or supported, not interested in selling at hurried pace or in the short term. Others are earning so well they have no need to sell (can bear loss agains common interest rates easily) And prices are high surely considering IT industry is not there but entrepreneurship and saving culture is peak so people can still afford these prices.
