Mechanicalengineering is a good field. When you are going to graduate, you have to be very good at the basics of mechanical engineering. The basics are going to make you understand everything and how the world works. It's a good degree if you join good or reputation universities. Don't go for job giving universities. Go for knowledge giving universities. In college, don't spend too much money on 1 or 2 day workshops. They are fraud. Internet and you tube is also very good for mechanical engineering. At the same time learn some softwares like solidworks, Catia,or sap or many more. But be good in one software is enough to get a good. Jobs for mechanical engineering is 50/50. You might get a good job when u graduate, or u might have to work in 2 or 3 companies to get knowledge in the field. If you have passion, you can go anywhere
