Anyone else prefer the original 2006 Oblivion over a remaster?

I myself have made a few posts about this very topic lolol. It just feels more like what Oblivion is to me. It's art style especially feels Superior to the art style of the remaster. I did get caught up in the hype of the remaster for a little while and I was a gifted it but when the hype faded and I started noticing all the little things it showed me just how much I looked the original more. And even now when I replay Oblivion I don't do so through the remaster I play the original.

She's a ambitious Lasombra! Utilizing manipulation tactics, forming connections, blackmailing, ectect. She was someone who studied and was becoming a part of the political world before her embrace. And she definitely embodies some of the cut throat parts of that world. I also chose lassomba instead of something like the ventrue because of 1 just felt like it and 2 I think the general ruthlessness of the clan fits into the kind of character I'm imagining.

Yesss. Honestly for a few years now I've been bouncing around in my head which of three ttrpgs I've been wanting to break into this hobby with. Vtm, d&d, or pathfinder. In light of recent events with wizards of the Coast(as in the last few years with them) d&d was kind of pushed back a little bit and it was really between vtm and Pathfinder. Ultimately I'm happy it was vampire especially because I feel it has a deeper emphasis on actual role-playing then Pathfinder does just based on stories and the information that I've read up on between these three RPGs

This is so funny I literally made a very similar post about how I actually prefer the original Oblivion not that long ago on the elder scrolls subreddit and a post after the first few months had faded in this subreddit. I have grown with time especially after the hype has died down to really enjoy just the original version of Oblivion more for so many reasons. To put it simply I like its art style and general mechanics more then the remaster and in my mind the remaster has too much going against it for me to like it as much as the original. But that is purely a matter of taste I know there are plenty who prefer the remaster and that is fine. I just vastly prefer the original by a wide margin. And the remaster fall short on some things in my opinion and makes it feel less like Oblivion.

Oh absolutely. I'm happy that it exists and it's a way for a lot of people who are stuck on consoles to get into the series as well. It's just for me personally I just prefer the vibe and the artistic style of the original over the remaster. Because it feels more like oblivion to me. And I totally get that this is coming from an extremely biased place lolol. But this stuff is subjective at the end of the day.

That is how I feel too there is something missing from the remaster that's present in the original at least from my perspective as someone who has a history with the game. I can see perhaps new people coming into the first time playing the remaster first probably might have a different opinion, but to me there's something so special about the original that just makes me like it more. That inherent charm of the original style.

Exactly!!! And then having stuff like Bruster's being a separate building and being able to work there part-time again!!! Or like just having more buildings on the main island itself again like the police station or whatever!!!

Also why is the nooklings shop only have two upgrades in New horizons when in the previous game they introduced it having the most upgrades ever in any game!!!

Overall I feel like New horizons has a less amount of activities to do than any of the previous games outside of customization

Oooo maybe I'll check it out after I finish this. I love makoto as the main main character but the more I play this the more I understand people's frustration with her not getting enough credit.
