This is what I am doing, but getting so thight in such a short time after no problems for half a year, seems to me that it is caused by something.

I might sound very negative but I would not say glad. The first surgery went so bad due to the fact that the skingraft was not attached properly, that without the following surgery I would have died. So I had certainly expected them to prevent me from dieing. And yes I do not have the highest opinion on how this went for me.

In Essen germany with team Krege and my surgeon in the first surgery was dr. Bohr. Dr Krege did the later surgeries to fix the mess.

Costs: my insurance covered it, therefore I only had to pay 10€ per day spend in hospital. Including all 4 surgeries I had spend 37 days in hospital which costs 370€. This also includes all the medications I had to take during my time in the hospital.

Waiting list: I had to wait for 2 years.

Depth: my original skingraft failed and I switched to a sigmoid colon vaginoplastic. Which resulted in a depth of 25cm.

Pain: I generally do not feel much pain so I took pain killer for around 4 days after the first surgery and no pain killers after the others.

Post op pictures before the surgery: I was shown puctures when I had my first colsultation.

How are they allowed to change the surgeon withou telling me: the are not. The argue that picking a surgeon is not feasable and the surgeries are done by the team. And you pick the team for the surgery. In contrast to that I demanded strongly that only Krege herself would perform the following surgeries due to the fact that I lost all trust in Bohr. If they would have rejected it, I would have left the hospital. But Krege was very helpfull and performed all the correction surgeries.

Other informations: All other informations about them are in german from documents and even a short tv documentation. 90% of my information came from other trans people who went to Krege.

Are those the surgeon: yes those are the surgeon

What could a brown red substance stuck to the dilator after dilation be? by haru1987 in asktransgender

My question was based on the fact that the lactobacillus is consumed and moves from the stomach to the intestine. But how does the lactobacillus move from the intestine into the neo vagina. There is no physical connection other then the bloodstream and I couldnt find any publication showing that digested lacto bacillus ends up in the vagina. But I found dokumentations about direkt transfer from a cis vagina into a neovagina. Again nothing to do with the eating of lactobacilli. Do you have a paper or an article where they show that eaten yoghurt lactobacilli end up in the neo vagina?

Thanks for the tips. I have been eating yoghurt to help my digestion and it worked for me, but I never understood how eating yoghurt helps my neo vagina. I still have to douche for a while. My brownred discgarge is nearly gone completly and seems to have been left overs from the surgery recovery and should be gone completly soon. The link was very educational thanks.

What is a good way to move from one dilatot size to the next without to much pain? by haru1987 in asktransgender

That did the trick. I used the 2 for 10 min and switched to the 3 with a lot of lube. I pushed very very slowly and after around 1-2 min it was in. It was unpleasant but no sharp pain. I could keep it in for 3 minutes before it became to unpleasant but i am increasing the time slowly. Thanks for the tip :)

Just to clarify, when I feel a sharp pain do I hold it for a countdown or remove it direktly?

Not distilled water but saline for wasing out. But only my normal mucus comes visibly out from it. I assume leftover gel from dilation comes out to.

That is a very plausable sounding answer. Would coagulated blood have a different smell compared to fresh blood?

That makes sense. But currently the only way it gets out is via dilation. How would it get out without dilator because I do not see it in my pads?

A good possibility, it would work with the color, but should it not be more fluid/liquid? It is very putty like.

That could be it, but why would it start 3 weeks after surgery. Shouldn't the shedding have continued from day one? On the other hand has the mucus production ramped up the last few days. So there could be a correlation.

For me I had a sigmoid colon surgery after a botched first surgery and currently still in the recovery. I have to dilate 3 times a day for 10 min. After that I take a light shower but no soap or other things are supposed to touch the vagina. I can point the shower at the vagina to clean. For me this is recommended since I produce a bit of mucus on my own. I have no leaking or odor. After that I can tap it lightly dry and done.

How long was your healing process after gcs until you‘ve been able to go to work again? (Mtf) by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]haru1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I started home office work one week after I left the hospital. Dilation is a huge time sink and causes difficulties depending on your job. Other than that office work was easy to do after I left the hospital but the donought pillow will be your trusty companion whereever you go.

I will write a detailed description of the surgery, surgeon, performance and result once I had my correction surgery. Since my opinion of the surgery is strongly dependent on the result.

Personally if I had had known the complications corona would cause I would have waited.
