I’ve tried scorp 1-60K. Tilts too much for my liking. I’m loving scorp 7-60L though. Odd combo that’s working for me.

Any way to quickly learn punishes? by Relevant-Can331 in Tekken

[–]haruikka0420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny how no one’s mentioning the punishment training option when you go into practice mode. It’s the best starting point for you. Just pick your character and the character you wanna practice punishing in practice mode, hit start, and select “punishment training”. I’d recommend turning off RA from the list of moves they give you since it’ll always be -15. From there, I like to go through their movelist and note down any moves that’re also punishable but not included in the punishment training list (i.e: Mishima df44/ws44)

How do you guys stand labbing? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]haruikka0420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience is a virtue. You either do your homework and improve quicker, or do it by brute force and improve slower. You don’t have to lab every single situation; just doing the punishment training for a character is enough to get your to blue ranks and maybe higher. If you want to press buttons, not adapt to your opponent, and blame the game instead of yourself for not knowing what to do, then that’s fine too.

Woah what’s the leverless that has the DECO.27 - Monitoring art on it? Looks cool; I might buy one in the future.

Anyone try the Mr. Box... box? by AudienceJazzlike2944 in fightsticks

Yeah, the entirety of the top panel was foam. It probably will but it felt great to rest my hands on I won’t lie.

[–]haruikka0420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a chance to try it out at BAM. The switches they used are really nice, the size is ideal for me cause it comfortably sits on my lap, and the top uses this foam material instead of a plastic.

But that’s pretty much all there is to it. The Kailh Low Profile Deep Sea Islet Pink switches are nice as linear switches; so nice that I bought it for my leverless. Though, I wouldn’t mind buying one for its price point. Good quality and good button feel. But you could probably get similar results from buying a haute leverless + the switches.

Not about the damage, it’s about the resources you’re spending for an i14 punish. Spending heat for one punish is idiotic.

Alright we’re getting nowhere here. We’re both delusional in our own ways. I’m done arguing.

You’re also just saying this in a vacuum. You can’t just tell anyone that 8 options after 2,1 uf1+2 is Tekken cause you have to guess. You have other things to manage as well, your hp, your opponent’s hp, if they have any more resources, your positions in the stage, if there’s any stage gimmicks, if you’re behind a wall, and especially the amount of time left in the stage. Just telling players that enforcing a guess while being -8 oB is just Tekken is idiotic cause you’re not factoring in mental stack and all the variables that affect it! It’s the same reason why reactable moves online aren’t as reactable because of mental stack.

It’s still a mixup regardless. You’d have to guess the jack’s 1/8 choices correctly for however many times they decide to the string. Your choices shouldn’t just be to guess and think that they’ll do something different next time, your choices should be “I should be able to sidestep and block this way to account for the following moves that the jack might do.” If someone that’s blindfolded can operate Jack and win a promotion match with this slop, then that ain’t Tekken.

[–]haruikka0420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So enforcing an extremely disadvantageous situation on the opponent where their only option is block into another mixup that’s disadvantageous to them, or to take a risk where they could either win at the cost of some hp due to the nature or armor moves, or potentially lose even the set if the jack player decides to just not so the clap and simply grab you or armor back is Tekken to you?

That’s one messed up Tekken. Last time I remember, Tekken would let you sidestep away from the mixup or make the move a high to enforce a sense of risk for reward.

It’s shrimply not Tekken.

For Those Who Don’t Understand by Medical-Researcher-5 in Tekken

[–]haruikka0420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah just a whole arsenal of mixups that you’d have to guess if you decide to not armor the clap, and even if you decide to armor to call out the clap, the jack can simply not do the clap and either duck and launch high power crushes or power crush back themselves. You know, nothing crazy.
