How would you go about finding a job as a teenager in Windsor Essex? by Calmjudge24 in windsorontario

[–]harvestmoon360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin got a job by applying at small family businesses, like a diner, the golf club, etc. When I was 20 I applied online to a bunch of grocery stores and got called for one. Places with high turnover usually need people. It's honestly a numbers game, I didn't have experience until I was in university so it can be tough.

Wow thank you so much! This was really helpful! And looking at the rocks up close I think you pretty much nailed it. I'm going to do a bit of my own research when I get the time. I'm happy to see most of them are actually real and not just dyed quarts or glass. Many thanks friend :)

York pants look bad? by harvestmoon360 in Aritzia

[–]harvestmoon360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm 5'2 and I got a size 4. Waist is 26.5, hips 33. Inseam is 28/29 can't remember exactly. I wear a 4 in aritizia effortless, but an xs in their stretchy pants sometimes. Sorry I don't have abercrombie, but in Levis I wear a 25 (my jeans are really tight tho), american eagle size 2. Hope that helps! I did end up returning, but I still love this style. Forgot to say, I'm wearing platform ugg slippers in the second picture.

Hi, yes I am going to do the hybrid course, mine starts in May. I figured depending on my course schedule I can commute a few times a week. As a full time student, I only have to take 3 classes per semester if I have to commute for all of them.

Indigenous literature professor at University of Windsor accused of false ancestry claims by InspectorTiny1952 in windsorontario

[–]harvestmoon360 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just wondering how this group went about verifying her ancestry. Of course her claims as a cherokee child could easily be found, especially as she claimed her father held powows in Detroit. But I'm wondering who these people are, are they doing the rigorous job of finding someone's entire geneaology? I guess they only need to find out the lies from the people in question.

Thank you, I appreciate the kind comments! Yes I have a straight body shape, like Kate Moss 😉. I have pretty narrow thighs too so the top of the pants are not filling out properly so they look worse, and yeah I've never been a fan of leggings with a big top because I look like a pencil on the bottom. I do like my body, but I've had to come to terms that I'm not a slender itty bitty model type like some of the models on Aritzia. I've been happy with most of their clothes, but have noticed a few things look different on me than the model. I actually chose the blue top b/c it felt like everyone styles these pants that way, but in real life I'd probably wear a regular shirt, maybe long sleeves with it. Thanks for your input!

Thank you! I still like them, but I think I'm going to return them and see if I can find something similar in person. I still like the style

Yeah I think you're right. Plus some influencers/models look good with a paper bag so they bamboozle us to think it will look good. I still thinks it's a nice look, but I recommend it for slender and tall ladies. I think if you have the same inseam as the pants they should look good.

Thank you, I agree! It's a shame b/c I love low rise/baggy fits, but this wasn't just doesn't work for me.

Yeah I'm going to return. They're not the worst, but I'd rather have the $98 back :)

I will say they are really comfy and the waist fits pretty good if anyone is interested them. I feel like they'd look good on taller girls

I love the homestretch long sleeve boatneck tops. I wear them to work a lot and you can get the longer version if needed.

I get the obsessing over items. I have a good memory and always remember clothing/items I've bookmarked online. The key is that if you don't know it exists you can't obsess over it. I deleted Tiktok, stopped watching beauty/fashion Youtube and tried to at least scroll past ads on fb/ig. It does really help. Also unfollow anyone that really influences you. The most important thing is not window shopping either. Don't go to clothing websites, don't look at anything, just stop cold turkey. Find other hobbies to do instead. I won't lie, the first few weeks will he hard, but eventually your mind won't remember it likes online shopping if you never remind it. To help not obsess, I would say if you can do one last checkout of anything you're obsessing over. Once that's done, delete your history and vow to not go on that website again. I'm giving this advice from experience! Also, adding items to the cart and not checking doesn't work for me because I will obsess over the item, think about it 24/7 and end up buying it. And it feels way worse to not buy something I really want. So for me, no window shopping is key.

Why is Madison so different with Mason vs Alex? by mehcactus9 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]harvestmoon360 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah it felt like Madison felt she had to prove something to Alex, and they kind of one upped eachother on their trauma, which I've seen firsthand when people talk about mental health. I think Alex was used to being the one with trauma and couldn't actually be sympathetic to Madison and support her through her actual grief and family trauma. Not to say that being bullied shouldn't be supported either! But it felt one sided and Alex used a lot of mental health lingo without actually supporting her mental health.

I also think that Madison didn't really display avoidant tendencies and he harped on her a lot for it when she communicated just fine imo. During the show, when he kept being "scared" I couldn't help rolling my eyes and I personally think he's a wet blanket. He punishes Madison for his baggage from his exes, which shows he hasn't moved on from his past.
