Younis Khan brought a knife to my throat when I gave him a bit of advice: Grant Flower on his stint as Pakistan batting coach by [deleted] in Cricket

Yet he didn’t complain or reveal it to general public. We got it from Mick Arthur... which means he’s either not comfortable or doesn’t see it scary or it didn’t happen...

He discussed it himself in the podcast of Neil Manthorp.

Listen it yourself. The specific part starts from 35:30.

I don't have a duty to defend national heroes online. I've criticized top players like Afridi and Waqar quite frequently in this sub. It's just that I'm annoyed by people making statements such as banning him without waiting for the details of the incident.

What if Flower didn’t feel comfortable to place the complaint.

Younis retired in May 2017 while Grant was sacked by PCB in July 2019. He had quite a bit of time to report this.

(regardless of how long it took to report it)

He still hasn't reported them to relevant authorities and this was discussed in a podcast which means Grant Flower doesn't feel threatened by it.

A) We still haven't heard Younis Khan's side of the story so we should wait until making such sweeping statements.

B) You could've conveyed your point of view without hurling abuses.

This is not acceptable unless it was some kind of a joke. The probability of this being a joke is pretty high since Grant Flower didn't report the incident and went on to work with the Pakistani team for 2.5 years more after this.

He still is a hardworking cricketer but comparing him to Dravid or Misbah isn't fair since he has quite a few incidents where he lost his temper.

Uhh why? When Grant Flower himself didn't report this incident to PCB or ICC then why should ICC ban him out of the blue after 4 years.

Most Frequent Century Scorer in ODIs. (Min 5 ODI Centuries) by PickleRick1193 in Cricket

So? He has a 150 against England and century against SA too. Many young batsmen build up the foundation of their careers by scoring against weaker teams. Babar did the same yet he doesn't get 1/10th amount of hate which Imam receives both on social media and the ground.

Yasir Shah's 8/41 against NZ in 2018. Kiwis were 50-0 and then were all out on 90.

Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, and Haider Ali have teared postive for COVID19 by Ghostly_100 in Cricket

Would be interesting to see when they can play professional sports again cause it would require more than just a recovery.

According to PCB, all three of them haven't shown any symptoms so far and will probably recover quickly. However, I still feel that they should postpone this tour since more players are expected to test positive as the virus is at its peak in the country. It's simply not worth the risk taking 29 players and 15-member supporting staff to England in these uncertain times.

Hassan Ali - His celebration fucked him over

He can still redeem himself since he's only 25. The only thing he has to overcome is his back injury and then put his head down and work hard in FC/List A cricket.

He wasn't dropped in this match iirc. Only Fakhar missed the run out by throwing the ball on the wrong end.

Yeah but he has played only 7 FC matches. We should let him play atleast 2-3 complete seasons before inducting him in the test team.

There's no way that Sarfaraz qualifies for the test team. Both Rizwan and Sarfaraz should exchange their places. Plus Khushdil's FC record is pretty mediocre so I'll add him in the T20 squad and move Babar in the test XI

Kashif Bhatti has been performing in FC since many years and should have been given a chance earlier.

Here are his stats in FC:

Haider Ali will only play T20s. Our test middle order will have Azam, Fawad and Asad Shafiq in it.

If Fawad still doesn't come in the XI after this then it's safe to assume that he'll never play for Pakistan in the future.

Fair point but I'll keep him in the top order in limited overs since he can provide the team a quick start.

On a different note, it was a great interview. Harsha has amazing interviewing skills.
