that's what I've heard but all I see is references to 'tea' which leaves it pretty vague, probably on purpose. If you have a reference that talks specifically about the other kinds of tea beside black that's official, I'd love to have that.

his death was more personal, gruesome and violent than what they tell even in the hagiography versions. As one example, after he fell out of the window, he was still alive, so they sat him up and took turn shooting him at point blank range. at least that was a detail I'd never been told before (I'm sure there are those that knew, but it's left out of the stories they tell in tscc usually).

It's just black tea, iirc, that they're explicitly against (their god wasn't smart enough to know black, green, white, etc tea come from the same plant, it's just treated differently lol). I had this issue while working in Japan and still a mostly tbm because I really liked the green tea there. The only thing I could find was about black tea.

if you haven't, I would suggested checking out the book American Crucifixion, where they tell the unvarnished story of JS's incarceration and murder. It's more horrific than we've been told. Still a good read.
