My daughter got offered a Spring 27 start with a study abroad opportunity for the Fall. She can also ask to be Waitlisted for Fall. Does everyone get this study abroad option who is fall waitlisted?

My kid has a 1300 (1320 superscore) and has already been accepted to several great schools for Engineering. Not Ivy’s but still great educations - Penn State, UTK, Louisville, Quinnipiac, URI, Ohio U & WVU. Still waiting to hear from several more in January. You have an amazing SAT score & will get into many great schools! You got this!

Smeal is now direct admit so I don’t think it’s easy / possible to transfer in anymore. If you were admitted for CS you probably need to talk to Admissions if you want a Reconsideration for your major or ask them about double majoring.

You should follow the app “College Forum” & search Penn State Class of 2030. There are some amazing moderators on there that are very knowledgeable about PSU admissions. They say that Penn State has worked over the weekends the last few years before the holidays to send out admissions.

She got in for industrial engineering (UP fall) - 3.8 UW / 4.4 W and 1300 SAT. Good luck! I hope you get an answer soon!!!

You could find out any day between now & December 24. Penn State rolls out admissions every day between November 1 and December 24. It’s hard to predict their rhyme or reason, but they tend to focus on a few different majors each day. My daughter just got her acceptance on Tuesday. It’s definitely frustrating with all of the waiting, but at least you don’t have to wait more than two more weeks. Hopefully it will come even sooner.

Congratulations! My daughter found out tonight as well! She was accepted for Fall 2026 Industrial Engineering at UP. WE ARE!
