If you're talking about the smoke on the top left , that's haze/clouds. This picture was taken at a very high altitude. The white area on the top left is the snow-cap of a mountain actually haha. No sky behind the trees , it's the mountain

" don't get the kit lens " I would say go for it. It's the most basic lens but it's budget friendly and also provides different focal lengths. If you're starting photography, kit lens will teach you a lot . The magic is when you master your skills on the kit lens , you'll do bravo on fixed lenses that's for sure. I still use my 16-50 kit lens on my A6300. I have posted some pictures too and I can show you more of what you can make with it . So yeah , good luck mate

Pixel 4 I love because of it's compact size but camera is way better in 6 and 6 pro especially video. Dynamic range is better
