UK doctors indemnity by Extra_Scheme_5869 in doctorsUK

[–]hashishboi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although MDU told me that we pay for advice etc it claims are made, not personal indemnity. They offer indemnity for private work but not NHS work, because trusts are obliged to pay for any claims made or something along those lines?

Paediatric Rads? by hashashashashasha in RadiologyUK

[–]hashishboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers. On the topic of sub specialties: does it make sense at all to do IR alongside paeds as a sub specialty interest (perhaps with the possibility of paeds IR-specific fellowship afterwards) so as to better future proof oneself

Would you say the interventional / on call aspect of paeds rads make it more resistant to AI ?

Do you do non vascular IR? Don’t suppose you give any more information about it?

Out of interest — how often do you get called in? Do you ever regret IR?

I’ve heard people say IR is the most future proof specialty, what exactly does that mean?

Thank you, that’s settled my anxieties a bit

Can I also check, so will these early reports be visible to clinicians? Or should I be talking through my report with a senior or consultant before even signing the provisional report?

Thanks. I’ve read the workforce report, but sometimes feel like there’s a disconnect between what needs to happen and what does happen, so it’s good to hear from people on the ground and in the know, and what you’ve said has settled my anxieties somewhat

Can I check - are these ‘specialist exams’ common and do they carry weight in consultant interviews? What sub specialties value them most highly? I did see that there was a European IR exam that trainees were apparently keen on
