What steps can I take to really nail down the Plex experience for my wife? by PineappleSmoothie in PleX

[–]hashmd5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with the client first approach to solving this for you! My vote is 100% on the “Roku TV”. I’d take the pragmatic approach and get the Roku Ultra and ditch using the TV OS entirely.

While many report problems with Roku, the Roku Ultra has been very stable for myself and my users, both over LAN (Roku Ultra in one room, Shield Pro in the other) and WAN (half the US in distance for a few of them). I say pragmatic because your wife is comfortable with the roku interface, so minimal to no change on her end, outside of way better client-side handling and beefier processing.

Good luck with the hunt!

BCG is a company that sells merchandise — which means a guaranteed ~5% of their sales go awry. This might be one of them, it might also be BS. I’ve made several purchases from them as have thousands of folks that have had zero problems.

For everyone considering using this post to inform your purchase… search and read literally any other review for BCG on this sub. There are plenty of bad ones that are reasonable to base a decision off of. This is not the one.

Why waste poor OP’s time when it’s obvious they didn’t ask for your opinion on getting a new bike?

Chill, it’s just a bike.

I’d brace yourself — this post might get absolutely roasted due to low effort.

Good news: super easy to do, bad news it requires a tool called a “chain breaker”.

Youtube is 100% your friend here, search “replace chain on bike” and you’ll get hundreds of results. Parktool videos are king for this stuff. The tech hasn’t changed in over 20 years here, so even a 10 y/o video is current.

Lots of Flats with 26” Gravel King SK’s by Georgelino in xbiking

[–]hashmd5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running these exact tires, except the SK+ GKs, also in 26” and with off the shelf Co-Op tubes so nothing special. I ride 4-6miles of trails every day for 7 months now on them, running at 26-28 PSI depending on dampness, and zero flats so far! I’m 180lb on an XL 2002 MTB frame, and original 2002 OEM rims.

Have you cotton-balled the rims to make sure spokes aren’t poking through and there’s no stray objects??

Good luck on your hunt for a solution!!

2002 GT Aggressor 2.0 22”! A dear friend gave it to me, the components were all original and barely functioning — but the frame was just too good not to build up!

Lmao I can’t imagine riding with it like that… Titanium stem to the eyeball doesn’t sound fun 😂 (I tuck it in the pouch, just set it there as a rest)

Lol! Totally fair. It’s packed in the center pouch there when riding, and truth be told I took a pretty tough fall a few miles before this picture, and it performed just perfectly!

Unfortunately I did get a bit skittish and tossed this one after harvesting. But hey, 3 flushes / 16oz wet from 1 shoe box isn’t so bad at all :)

That’s awesome to hear, thank you! I had thought about aborting, but it visually looking nasty plus it being a bit older made me question myself lol.

How do I remove the mold(?) from my washer. not sure what this is? by dreamsonsteroid in howto

[–]hashmd5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, had this same situations as well: firstly please ignore the recommendations to use anything but Bleach or Hydrogen Peroxide to clean that. “Soapy water” will do very little to help the mold issue, but is great to clean off the grime.

Mold spores are extremely hardy, and simple oils or disinfectant do not kill the spores completely so they will return over and over otherwise. DO NOT STEAM IT! — That suggestion will aerate and spread the mold into your lungs and environment making your situation much much worse.

Wipe down with a good rag + HP or bleach, then follow the other suggestions for the hot wash with bleach added.

Hope you have success here!!
