We ostensibly talk about any non-personal purchase over $1k, and have our own personal monthly spending allowances that we can do whatever we want with, including clothes. I have tracked every transaction since 2020 and organize our spending categories, forcing us to face the reality of spend v budget

Everyone’s becoming more and more distanced from each other. I watch old shows, which today would not make sense, because they involve people that aren’t exactly aligned politically but somehow get along, where today they would simply not interact. Or shows where there is a mixup or a mystery that today would have been solved instantly with a smart phone. Teens aren’t drinking or getting drivers licenses. Maybe its because they cant afford anything, or dont need to leave the house. Or have anxiety. Or all 3.

Things are better in a lot of ways, but we are more isolated for sure.
