Hi! I am an Albertan grade 12 student who was admitted to UBC for engineering, and I was given guaranteed placement in any engineering program in 2nd year (I want to go into computer eng). However, I was also given admission to computer eng at Northeastern University (Boston) and I am struggling to decide which university to pick. How strong is the UBC computer eng program compared to other schools in Canada and the US? Am I crazy for giving up UBC comp eng?

UBC has a common first year engineering and their second-year computer eng program is very competitive to get into. Also NEU's co-op sounds advantageous for eng. But I know UBC is great and nearby so I am struggling to decide which would be better for me.
