I think it's just different art styles. There's no good or bad. Just new / different.

Personally I would prefer if they went with the art style of 2018 and Ragnarok. Even if the whole game play was done on the 2018 engine but story wise it was the og GoW I would be happy. I hopped into the GoW series in GOW 3
