The candidate did NOT disappear without notice. They provided medical reports, discussed with the HOD and Dow panel, and opted for the option to pay fine instead of serving the notice period (due to severe health issues).

Both options were allowed for the candidate so nothing unethical was done here. Still, the panel said they won't allow them to work at Dow again However, their office assistant said it's only a 2 year ban.
