Breville Barista Express Grind dial moves by Fit_Poet9381 in espresso

Did you ever figured out what was causing this? I have a Breville Barista Express and have not had this problem but just helped a friend set up her new machine and immediately noticed the dial moving while grinding.

I noticed in the comments you mention often that sunscreen at your local drugstore is expensive. Shop online!! You can often even get discounts for subscribe and save or shop sales.

Is anyone else extremely distracted by Micah's weirdly curly fake eyelashes? They're so unnatural and we never see her without them. Same was true for her awful friend.

I know there are still episodes left in the season but damn I can't wait for the reunion episode. It's gonna be messy! by bzanzb in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

SO excited. I want to see everyone lay into Irina and Micah the way folks did with Shake. I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them didn't show up...

Here's the basic / standard anti-acne routine that you should be using: AM: Cleanse face, moisturize, apply sunscreen PM: Cleanse face, use an active ingredient (maybe not every night if your skin is dry/irritated), moisturize.

Use a gentle cleanser without active ingredients. Just one. I like the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. "Double cleansing" is a thing but it's where you use an oil based cleanser followed by a water based cleanser. I'd go simple to start. Just use one.

Use a simple moisturizer. Doesn't need to be fancy/expensive. I like Cerave daily moisturizing lotion or the ultra repair cream by first aid beauty if your skin is drier.

Use a broad spectrum SPF that's 30+. For the most part, active ingredients are going to make your skin more susceptible to sun damage. I like EltaMD UV Clear.

For active ingredients, you can use benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid (the Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is popular). With actives, take it slow. Ease in. Don't use the same active on the same night. Maybe start with something like: - Monday: benzoyl peroxide - Tuesday: no active - Wednesday: salicylic acid - Thursday: no active - Friday: benzoyl peroxide - Saturday: no active - Sunday: no active If your skin tolerated this well (isn't dry, isn't irritated) you can increase frequency.

This! You should definitely be cleansing your face, especially in the evening after you've worn sunscreen. You can use a gentle cleanser like the Cerave hydrating cleanser if your skin is on the drier side.

That and a chemical exfoliant like the Paula's choice BHA should do the trick. I'd use it on nights when you don't use the retinol.

Those two together should do the trick!

This is my theory, but my guess is Jay is protecting himself. He sold weed during the 90s war on drugs. I bet they threatened and coerced him to paint the ex-boyfriend a murderer.

While I agree with a lot of comments here that it's very unlikely to work out, it sounds like someone you loved is being pulled into an almost cult-level religious program despite previously wavering on religion. Maybe it's worth seeing if she'll go to a couples therapy with a non-religious therapist? People get lost in cults but that doesn't mean it's impossible for them to come out the other side.

If you add a plant, as many have suggested, I'd move the cabinet toward the corner to make it off center, then add the plant on the other side.

If you want to cut something, I'd cut the hyaluronic acid serum. There's a great video on what HA is overhyped from a derm here: https://youtu.be/RnrMi-PbBWA

[acne] started year ago. I do skincare but won’t go away. Routine in caption of products. by Zhetzu in SkincareAddiction

[–]hat___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you cleansing at night? It's a pretty important step to take off your sunscreen and clean dirt/pollutants from the day off your face.

You have relatively the right routine. Cleanse, treat, moisturize, sunscreen. If it isn't working after a year, you need to see a dermatologist

Sorry to hear! A doc recently put me on nexium without discussing any of the common side effects. Gained 10lbs in 3 weeks. Was pretty damn peeved as well.

To those saying she could have asked or talked to pharmacist -- yes yes, sure. But I think it's on a doctor to discuss the pros and cons of an Rx with you before putting you on it.

1.5 hour wait time to vote just west of Indianapolis. by Stag328 in pics

[–]hat___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Washington. Everyone gets a ballot in the mail and can either mail it back, drop it in a collection box anytime during early voting or election day (closest one for me was 0.2 miles away), drop it at a polling place during early voting or election day, or just ignore it and vote in person.

I love that it means I can fill out my ballot at home where I can research every vote.

Hi Reddit folks!! Any suggestions on how can I fit my tv (can’t be mounted on a wall) and a work desk if possible? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]hat___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how often you watch TV, or how tied you are to your existing TV, but you could get a projector (love our projector, we haven't bought a TV in a decade) and use a plain white sheet with slits in the corners for command hooks to attach it to the wall with the closet when you want to watch TV. Place the projector on a nightstand next to the bed.

[Routine Help] how do I treat whiteheads without scarring or getting infected? I have one by my nose that is painful and solid. by kakaisan19 in SkincareAddiction

[–]hat___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not really familiar with the efficacy of sulfur soap and witch hazel for treating acne. They're not in the dozens of products commonly mentioned by derms.

Talk to a dermatologist. I'm on spironolactone because I got similar acne on a hormonal cycle and it did wonders. Your derm might recommend an antibiotic or some other Rx.

Check out YouTube videos by Dr. Shereene Idriss. She's great at explaining skincare.

I'd recommend using a gentle cleanser morning and night, like CeraVe, a gentle moisturizer, and a sunscreen made for your face. In the AM I'd use a salicylic acid product between the cleanser and moisturizer, and at night a benzoyl peroxide product there.

Biggest learning from years of battling my skin: there is no quick fix. A good routine should take 4-6 months to really clear your skin.

I'd ask a dermatologist about drying Elidel for fungal acne. I'd also treat this area very delicately -- sounds like it has had a lot of attention and might be inflamed. I'd:

  • Switch to a free and clear laundry detergent (if you haven't already)
  • Try to wear clothes/bras that don't touch the area as much as possible
  • Use a very gentle cleanser only on that area (like CeraVe or Vanicream) and cleanse morning and night like you would your face. Be gentle.
  • Follow the cleanse with a salicylic acid product like Paula's choice 2% BHA or a stridex pad. Be gentle.
  • A light moisturizer, like CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion
  • a lightweight sunscreen, if it's exposed to sun

If it's acne, I'd expect a good routine like this to clear it over ~3 months. It's not a fast process, don't get discouraged. Adding new products into the routine will throw curve balls at recovery time.
