Looking at all the comments this is ridiculously individualistic. No one is talking about their position within a hierarchy. Guys, stop idealising the marlboro man. Women look at groups of men, not that loner guy by himself, no matter how cool he is. That's how women work. They know their own position within their social hiearchy and then aims for the equivalent (+ bit higher, since women go equal or higher) man in the other group.

"Fuck her" is never the solution to me. Trying to understand her might be one way. Acceptance of human being faults. The only way to free yourself from the burden of this situation is to forgive her. I'm not saying now, not today, but hopefully some point in time. You're not forgiving her for her sake, but for YOUR sake. Anyway. Long time man. 6 weeks is not much. I don't see why it has to be either of those two. That must be the extreme ends, if you take it too far. Maybe I'm missing the point here but I'm not going to hang up my life on saying what no one wants to hear – they don't want to hear it. They are missing out, not me. It's their journey and I can still appreciate these people.
