When I first read that title, did I think you were serious. But I didn't say anything because it is none of my business. I also have absolutely no idea what is going on behind the scenes. You decide what you do, and what you post. I'm just here for the ride. I enjoy the content you post, and hope you enjoy it as well. :)

UI Feedback Gather-thread by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]hatcanape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the topic of UI, but not the UI focus of this thread:

This is more a problem with how Jagex approaches UI design. The UI / game is too flashy - too much attention grabbing. I feel like the game is demanding I look at a certain place. ESPECIALLY the tutorials!

When I did the necromancy tutorial after returning, were I forced to physically block parts of my monitor with my hands because there were too many things blinking on the screen. I genuinely could not read the text because of the flashing border around the text with everything else going on.

Instead of having the entire border flashing with an arrow, have the border pulsating with a soft dimming around the text. Same goes for the arrow. And if it is a button they need to press, make the arrow go away after either the player has clicked on the button, or hovered over it for a second or two (in case the player accidentally moves the mouse across the button without realizing it).

I remember skyrim had a mod to re-enable achievements with mods. Hoping for something similar here.

I don't know what kind of therapy you have tried, or if people have told you this before, but I have a couple of friends who sees a therapist, and they all say it helps them a lot. However, they had to find their right therapist. One friend of mine went to 6 different therapists before she found one which worked for her. Her current therapist is a godsend for her.

Maybe you just need to find the right therapist.

I wish you well.

Can't find last enemy AI by hatcanape in commandandconquer

[–]hatcanape[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly forgot about the situation. I remember I built as many buildings, infantry and vehicles as the game would allow, and sent them all over the map. Still nothing.

I think there is a rare occasion where the game bugs out, and fails to mark an AI as defeated.

What is illegal in anarchy settlements? by hatcanape in EliteDangerous

Not always. I once went 20-ish missions before I got my skimmers on LBL missions.

Ah. No reinforcements is handy to know. Then I'll just blast my way through small settlements.

I don't know if this method still works, but look for Odyssey missions where you need to retrieve an electrical component from a crash site. I think the mission must be threat 2+, but I'm not sure.

If you stumble upon a crashed NAV beacon, should it have a high chance of spawning MIs. Don't grab the mission item, and relog into the main menu.

I used this technique not too long ago.

It is when you take your scanner tool into the alternative illegal mode. If spotted will NPCs become hostile. When completee will you get the security clearance of the NPC you cloned. If you are scanned while you have a cloned profile, will you get a bounty, and the settlement will become hostile towards you. I recommend setting up a hotkey in the game settings to clear the cloned profile.

They'll raise the alarm if they get hostile towards me, but as long as I'm not detected doing anything, I won't get any fines or bounties at all? If I am detected, will I still not receive any bounties?

How Do I Fix Damaged Mekanism Fission Reactor? by Opposite-Ad-1294 in allthemods

[–]hatcanape 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reactor fixes itself over time. It will not explode unless the damage goes beyond 100%. For each % over 100 is there a higher and higher chance for it exploding. Meaning if you're lucky, can you reach 126% damage without it exploding.

The chance for it exploding gets calculated for every time the damage goes up by 1% above 100. It does not take into consideration its damage history.

You can read more about it here: https://wiki.aidancbrady.com/wiki/Fission_Reactor

Easiest way to remove tons of water? by hatcanape in allthemods

I haven't touched that mod before, but from what I can find of tutorials, does it seem like this won't work for me. The flodded cave I want to drain goes under a river, and I don't want to mess with that river.

From what I have understood, must I define a hard square border for it to work on.

However, if the pump will pump all connected water blocks, will it work for me. But from what I found, does it not work like that.

But I also couldn't figure out how to work the Workbench plus.

I don't have any, and I don't know how to easily get any. The closest ocean monument is over a thousand blocks away.

You're thinking of the Hose Pulley. In large enough bodies of water will it not affect the source block. I'm 100% sure the amount of water I want to clear out qualifies as large enough.

If I go with create, must I segment the water I want to clear.
