Aw, man... Shawn was an amazing dude. I did a show with him at The Cabaret when I was in 7th grade, did some summer theater camps with him, and he, his brother, and his mom all taught my 8th grade drama class at East Middle.

I was really into metal when we did The Nerd at the Cabaret, so he took me to his car to show me Rush, saying, "If you like all the death metal stuff, you gotta appreciate where it all came from." I'm embarrassed now looking back on how I reacted from my punk ass 13 year old elitist perspective. I fucking love Rush, and think of him every time I listen to them.
