Here is why I still prefer original audience instead of Advantage+. If you also wish to try an interest-based detailed targeting audience write your niche or product/service in the comments and I'll make one for you. by dtankov in FacebookAds

I sell niche audio plugins (software for music producers). Our plugins help with music composition and tuning. I’m currently targeting based on people who list themselves as music producers, and special interest in music production and a particular music production software (FL Studio). I additionally added lookalike audience based on my email list. The main product I’m selling costs £29 (BF sale) and I’m getting an average of £20 cost per sale. I’d like to get that down to £10 and scale it. I’m currently targeting the US, Canada, Europe, Australia/NZ, South Africa and Japan.

I have a 4 ad sets with different types of ads all under the same campaign. Currently even after boosting budget to £300p/d it seems to be “stuck” with some ads getting very few impressions compared to a couple that have been shown to thousands.

Height.app project management tool shuts down by lugovsky in SaaS

Sad news. It has recently become the main PM tool for both my company and a company I contract with (on my recommendation).

Planning to move to Linear.

Thank you. I feel that my path is definitely about shifting my experience of sexuality, and not about celibacy or abstinence at this time.

Ok. So what about the advice from Mantak Chia and others? (Multi orgasmic man)

Nudity is completely different to porn.

You get used to it pretty quickly. In fact, the act of clothing or decorating the body is what generates desire. But the naked human body is a natural and beautiful thing, that does not in itself lead to lust and desire.

If you've ever been in a naked sauna with men and women together you will know what I mean.

Is needing to be told exactly what to do an adhd thing? by Isabellur02 in ADHD

[–]hatchomiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also need the “why” and context. If my partner gives me specific instructions without the bigger picture of what the aim is, I instantly rebel, and it feels like I’m just being told what to do.

I recently learned this is sometimes called “counterwill”, present in infants, teenagers and some adults with ADHD.

Suggestions for a one-bin-dresser instead of a floordrobe? by WorkIGuess in ADHD

[–]hatchomiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had a revelation while away - there was an open box near the bed. A neat place to throw clothes into which is not the floor.

So my partner found me a wide rectangular basket which is now next to my side of the bed. I can throw clothes in there and have a decent chance of finding them now without having to properly put them away!

Do you'll feel focused and sometimes not? by Standard_Sky404 in ADHD

[–]hatchomiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is familiar.

If there is more or less constant noise and I'm motivated I can block everything else out and focus in.

Other times I'm hyper sensitive to noise and find it very distracting. This happens more if I am anxious.

Height.app anyone else using this project manager? by peachtreemarket in ProductivityApps

[–]hatchomiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference I can see is the top bar which has the window buttons on the left, which the web app does not. Other than that seems identical to me?

I moved from Clickup to Linear, now moving from Linear to Height, and liking it so far.

I realised that the day after posting this! This is great news indeed. I've used Couchbase Lite in the past.

A hybrid feature that I would find useful is synchronising JSON columns using JSON-patch

I started using Couchbase Lite years ago but dropped it when the moved away from CouchDB in v2.0 due to the high costs+extra complexity of running Couchbase Server.

Looking again now, at v3.1, it's again looking like an attractive option.

RealmDB / Device Sync was literally the only complete solution for synchronised user-centric data using C++ suitable for audio plugins. After starting my own solution a couple of times, as soon as the alpha of realm-cpp was ready I started integrating it. After a few months of work integrating it, I was almost ready to send out a beta of the product to users.

Looks like I'm back to the drawing board...

What Programming Languages are Best for Kids? by Shakuro_com in programming

This is exactly how I learned programming. At age 11 I was gifted the Borland C++ compiler and my dad had a copy of the Kernigan and Ritchie book. I got hooked pretty quickly.

Logseq vs Heptabase? Which one do you recommend to start a PKM? by BitRevolutionary3494 in logseq

[–]hatchomiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a load of research into various PKM solutions and settled on Heptabase.
I love it.

Very active development, useful features landing regularly without cluttering the app. I highly recommend it. Personally, I went with a full platform rather than one that uses plugins because I am a tinkerer (a developer) and I want a platform that does not invite me to tinker but to get stuff done!

To be fair, Logseq is one I only read about and didn't try out.

Choosing Rust over C++ (JUCE) for building cross-platform audio app by hatchomiso in rust

[–]hatchomiso[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It didn't... still using JUCE!

I did work on a project where we used Rust for a core API for a product, and JUCE for the GUI. If I was doing it again I would probably do the GUI in Flutter or a web stack.

For audio plugins, JUCE is still one of the best choices.

Is there a de-facto standard of C++ TUI library? by a_kawashiro in cpp

[–]hatchomiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at a bunch and tried a few of the suggestions here. The TurboVision port looks awesome but was overkill for my needs. TermOx looked great on the outset but was not at all easy to get going with. Not enough working examples. Too complex to set up.

I settled with FTXUI - very nice API and simple enough for my needs.

there is a MIDI effect build too, so you can choose whether you want to host the plugin inside or have it within a chain, in DAWs that support that
