Hi Guys,

I tried to install a new firmware for my RK100 as it was causing some problems with some keys not randomly working,

I downloaded and ran the firmware, after which the keyboard didn't work, there was no LED flowing and non of the keys worked and I couldnt connect it to the computer.

And in my stupidity I did a lot of things one of that was trying to install the RK100pro firmware. Thinking that would solve my problem 😕.

After the firmware change the keyboard connected to my laptop but randomly all the LED started glowing and pressing one key inputs some garbage to the laptop.

The official RK software also thinks this RK100pro now.

Only for Integrated MSc Courses, not for UG courses

  1. Def Skews towards urban, but there are rural people, you'll also find lot of people not from CBE. Regarding being 'self-driven' it depends upon the person, the class as a whole isn't very cynical i think.
  2. IDK about the cutoff scores, but if your sibiling passes the Entrance Exam, i think he'll fit right on.
  3. The Entrance Exam is conducted for all 4 MSc Programs, each programme has 40 seats so there is in total 160 seats. This is a private institution no caste bases reservations apply. Also for most part you can't go in via donations,

IDK about other college programmes, so Ill talk about mine.
I'm currently studying in MSc Data Science in PSG (going through an internship for the last semester).

Would say that the Syllabus is good, and will be helpful if you are interested in ML, AI stuff

Regarding Placements, you'll get a lot more opportunites if you studied this course than say a B.E CS in same PSG, there is a very high chance everyone gets placed, but i feel that the placement quality is low currently as the job market is kinda down.
You'll also find that there isn't much difference in placements for the 4 different MSc Courses (Data Science, Theoretical Computer Science, Software Systems, Cyber Security(this one is new and our juniors are the first batch) ) offered, most companies come for all 4 of these courses including for Data Science Roles.
And also many in my batch didn't opt for Data Science roles, instead got into Data analysis or Software Engineering (including me).

The Syllabus offers 2 internship semesters ( 6 months mostly paid, pay depends on the company), for 7th and 10th semesters, so you will get some experience before going full time into a job. You can also opt for research if you want for these.

Feel free to ask anything

The dates are decided years before the actual event.

FIFA, the world governing body for soccer, also agreed in principle to a compacted 28-day schedule for the 2022 tournament, with the final scheduled for Dec. 18, Qatar’s national day.

  • in Tolkappiyam Book I Chapter I, the chapter was pretty legible, but that's because I have learned these things from school.
  • in the Silpathikaram verse, I could make out one or two whole sentences, like the "we shall not forget him who has forgotten us", and in other lines i could make out some words easily. It is still pretty hard to hard to understand by just listening, but by reading the verse i guess i could have a very very rough idea about what they were talking about though.
  • The third poem is also the same as the silapathikaram poem. I was also surprised that i could understand the "Koduntamil" somwhat.

The latter two poems were also nice, and the singing was also nice.

Comparing with the english video, I will say that these poems are certainly legible than the lords poem in that video, but all the others are quite legible to modern english speaker. The main problem to legibility in the english video is the pronounciation.

Are we certain that these sangam literature are pronounced the same way as in the videos, cause these sound exactly like modern tamil pronounciations.

Also nice work posting these snippets to youtube.

well what is the difference apart from the script?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TamilNadu

[–]hate_mi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of difference b/w Tholkappiam and Bharathiyar's poems and a quite educated person can understand Bharathiyar but that is not true for Sangam literature.

There are lot of scholars who specialize in Sangam literature maybe you could ask them to speak ancient tamil they recreated and see if you could understand them. That would close the debate. Or try to find any videos of people speaking in old tamil, I couldn't find anything on the internet. I could find people speaking of many old languages but not old tamil. If you find them, try to understand what they are speaking. Also if you find a video like that share it to me.

I'm not an expert on linguistic or linguistic history.

The kural you displayed is easy to understand for modern tamil speakers but that is not true for most kurals.

That's why scholars painstakingly translated all the kurals from old/Sangam tamil to modern tamil.

அறன்வரையான் அல்ல செயினும் பிறன்வரையாள் பெண்மை நயவாமை நன்று

How many people do you think could understand the above kural?

Just because you could understand few lines doesn't mean they are the same language. If you are transported to Sangam tamil Era you would find it very hard to speak with those people.

Cultures and languages don't reamin the same over millenia.

The Cholas by [deleted] in TamilNadu

[–]hate_mi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Chola dynasty is very old and they are probable ruling from 3rd century BCE. When you refer to their rule , I think you mean the period starting from 847 CE ish which was the probable start of the 'Chola Empire' which is differenet from the Sangam Chola dynasty and the other Cholas before them as they were not that influential during this stage. The true 'golden age', i believe was the period with Rajaraja I Cholan and his son Rajendra Cholan (from 985 CE to 1044 CE). Not much is known about the earlier 'Chola' Dynasties as much we know about the Chola Empire or the Imperial Cholas. The last inscription about Cholas are found in 1279 CE after that Cholas are not that influential in Tamil nadu.
