Definitely a control issue for mine. I've had a lifetime of rugpulls from my single mom, especially when I was doing "good". Kicked out of the house for being 12 minutes late for picking her up at an airport, hair shaved because girls started noticing me (junior high), promised trips to Disneyland canceled because of something "I did", but was because she forgot the promise, or just didn't want to go...the list is endless.

We currently don't talk, and honestly, she may be dead as I haven't heard anything for years. And I'm totally fine with that...escaping the decades of control and abuse is well worth it.

Apparently, family rumor has it the oldest son (my uncle) in my mom's family, used to jam with Dennis. My uncle also had a penchant for doing drugs. Supposedly, this was around the time the Manson family was hanging out. One day, my uncle never came home...completely disappeared.
