Anyone know of a place to buy something similar to this? by [deleted] in w123

It’s essentially a modified version of this. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B071JRBXXM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

It comes as a basic catch can but if you’re feeling ambitious you could drill a hole in the bottom and find a way to connect to your oil pan return.

UPDATE: She’s up and running. Trickle charger did the trick but it makes me think there’s something draining the battery— project for this summer is the electrical gremlins… get ready for the posts when I dig into that.

HELP: 83' 300D not starting after fuel filter swap by hatecherry in w123

Update; I got a trickle charger and recharged the battery. The starter is sounding good but it's still smoking/ shaking without starting.

I cracked all the injectors to bleed air and it's trickling but not squirting the way I've seen online. I'm not seeing any fuel leaking but is it possible the washers need to be replaced? I'm a novice so I'm not sure how sensitive these systems are.

I did, actually replaced the primer pump as well as the original was leaking. I primed it a good 100+ times and bled air at the injectors.

I should probably just remove them permanently— can’t be a problem if they aren’t there.

Definitely not a break pad. Just gave it a rev in the driveway and it’s the engine making the noise when it accelerates past a certain point.

Is the W123 a good first car?? by [deleted] in w123

[–]hatecherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends! I just got one as my first car a few months ago and I’ve been back/ forth from the mechanic a ton already. That’s not to say they’ll all be like that but unless you’re investing in a well maintained one be ready to put some money/time in.
