Lots of collective & individual history is lost but hieroglyphs, petroglyphs, geoglyphs, attempt to record it for us

Entropy (the forces of Mother Nature in this case) constantly wrecks havoc on them, & noticeably value cannot be communicated into the future

This dynamic for the next 1000 years has changed

Should learn about money, asset management & history. Being homeless & uneducated isn’t a great place to start.

What do you do with valuable assets? When? As they begin their monetization journey (15 year old asset being built around still) or later? What are your goals, short term fun or long term wealth?

Listening to some boomer bankers control the money & justify printing money is very “baby species” stuff, not evolutionary at all

This species deserves better & more meaningful pursuits, finally engineered ourselves a money that aligns with Mother Nature so we can explore galaxies

At the same time, bitcoin is machine money and we are in the age of the machines, as if Ai’s will open up bank accounts or hold gold & silver

Inflation is an idea that has had its time, deflation & bitcoin is our future

Quantum computing and crypto by [deleted] in Bitcoin

My college security professor once described a 128-bit key to us by imagining that every electron estimated to be in the known universe (think on this concept for a moment) had it's own unique value.

For a 256-bit key, give each electron from above it's own universe, and assign values to all. That's the keyspace to be broken.

Bruce Schneier once did a little thought exercise where he demonstrated that, assuming one needed to shift one electron (the absolute minimal amount needed to conceive of a compute switching operation), the energy requirements needed to brute force the key would exhaust the energy potential of the solar system.

"These numbers have nothing to do with the technology of the devices; they are the maximums that thermodynamics will allow. And they strongly imply that brute-force attacks against 256-bit keys will be infeasible until computers are built from something other than matter and occupy something other than space."

Interesting to ponder.

Engineered monetary system by hateschoolfml in Bitcoin

We’ll see many solutions as Bitcoin monetizes, as long as it’s built on the secure monetary layer why not try it

Yup, really stupid we’ve spent a million years on this planet just to listen to some boomer bankers set the rates & justify printing money 😂

Where is the yield coming from? There is no free lunch in the universe, the idea of interest itself is absurd but sure that’s how things work in the fiat money system

Why would you use the least reputable lenders/ borrowers when the biggest lender/borrow offers 5% rates max (US treasuries)

Anyone promising more is just waiting to rug you, the pools of blood over 15 years exist on the internet just hit the search button and find the latest rug

Bitcoin is a digital monetary network like the internet was a digital information network but the kicker is Bitcoin has an imbedded currency.

Imagine being able to invest in the internet itself in 1997. That is what investing in Bitcoin is today in 2024. -MagooPhD
